NRMA Stockton Beach Holiday Park
Really lovely spot an easy drive from Sydney, right on the beach and easy ferry access to Newcastle. ⛴️We tent camped ⛺ and the plots were nice and level. The amenities are clean and the staff is friendly. We checked in after hours with no problems, and the park has direct beach access and some small playgrounds. It's a lovely atmosphere with kids running around. There's even a little coffee cart on site. They also had some kid programs on, which was fantastic. The things that keep it from being a 5 are that the sites are quite spartan (little cover and no extras like picnic tables). No fires are allowed (so it's hard to feel like you're having a fab camping experience) and the power points were a bit funny (maybe made for caravans?) so I couldn't end up using them to charge my devices. The playground is nice, but for real action, you'll want to head down to the epic one by the ferry wharf.I read the review that said the site was in poor repair and I disagree. There are two trailers that were storm damaged, but they've clearly been moved to the side of the property and are fenced off and out of the way. As with most Australian holiday parks, there are a collection of trailers for long-haulers, but these are in good nick and fit in pleasantly. The location is great. We really walked to the main area of Stockton, the Bowlo, the RSL, playgrounds, cafes and the beach.

Location right on the beach is great for that ocean noise, very popular fishing spot along the breakwall for the Newcastle channel, with some big boats coming in and out pretty regular. The park has good clean amenities, and spacious sites. A nice little Cafe next door on the beach is also a bonus. The little town of Stockton is very quiet.

While units are available, we used this park for our caravan holiday. A variety of site options with reasonable room to park. Lots of amenities and close to beach and options to eat out. Easy drive to most places of interest.Staff friendly and helpful.

Have been going to NRMA Stockton for a few years now and always have had the best experience.Friendly management, always clean amenities. The family bathroom is the best I've ever seen, with a small and a large bathtub for different ages of children plus a regular shower. It is a peace of mind for families as you can shower all at once!Easy access to the beach and a nice Cafe just next to the villas.Lots of bike trails in Stockton and Newcastle where you can take the whole family for an easy ride. The Camping is fairly close to wharf which takes you to Newcastle in 5 minutes.Would definitely recommend and can't wait to book my next holiday!

Beautiful location. We have stayed here before. Great staff. When I stated our sites at the last two caravan parks where we had stayed, had been pretty ordinary, reception gave us a lovely site with an ocean view. Very unexpected but very appreciated. Seems to me that Stockton is a very underrated destination. Highly recommend this park.

Very convenient to get into Newcastle, staff that I had dealings with were polite and helpful, the live music night was great, the pizza was very tasty, had some very nice walks and the local iga is close and has nice hot chips. The ships coming and going was nice to see, also had a nice sunrise.I would be happy to stay here again.

Good place to spend a few days. Clean park with excellent staff. Right on beach. Newcastle foreshore very accessible with 5 minutes ferry ride. The RSL club is a must for a meal or two.

Great campsite directly on the beach, unfortunately it rained all the time we where there and we could not fully utilise the facilities. Great cafe for breakfast with good coffee. Easy access to the pedestrian ferry to Newcastle. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will stay there again.
