In a regional city with some excellent eateries this small cafe should definitely go to the very top of the foodies Must Do list. Opposite the excellent well known Oodies Kevins is like stepping into an authentic Ginza style small restaurant.The signage is poor, the entry completely unremarkable, but the Japanese cuisine is truly exceptional and of the highest standard. The wide variety of plates we ordered were made to order, using freshest locally sourced produce and tasted superb. This was a unique and totally worthwhile dining experience. Tip..Stick to the menu.

Walked in, sung out “hi” made some noise. Could hear someone in the back. Not a soul in sight… after waiting several minutes I walked out. If they don’t want to serve me then I can’t really rate their service or their food…

Not recommend this restaurant at all. Wouldn't go again. The gave us completly different meals and we need to pay extra. And the food was not good anyway.

After having the buffet and loving all the delicious food we were given a takeaway container full to take home and try, Kevin is a really great restaurant owner and will definately be back.

This little treasure is to be found in the IGA complex on Gavin street. We almost didn't find it but we're SO glad we did. It's very modest on the outside but please, please, don't let this stop you going inside. We had the All you can eat" buffet. Starting with the best sushi we've ever eaten. Everything from soft shell crab and fresh salmon

I've been buying Sushi from Kevin for quite some time now and I won't buy Sushi anywhere else in town. He's a gentleman and always happy to help, I order over the phone and pick up. Kevin has also delivered my Sushi to the hairdresser's next door for me if I've had an appointment there. His shop is very unassuming but boy can this guy cook, the store front hides the talent of the chap inside. Thanks Kevin , I'll always buy your Sushi and one day soon hope to dine in.
