Lake Lyell Recreation Park
Stayed at a powered site for 3 days during our camping trip. Great location with amazing views. Unfortunate that we could not go fishing due to the blue green algae but our stay there was relaxing and enjoyable regardless. Showers and toilets are well cared for (Remember to bring some $1 coins for hot showers!!!) Campfires also well spaced out and the area is pretty clean.

Great camping ground! Beautiful views of the lake. Playground is good for the kids with good toilet and BBQ facilities. Camping spots were good - they have limited powered sites but you must bring all your own water, as there are no fill up points for caravans. I loved it here and will definitely come again!!

Well... I only gave 2 stars for the view. The carpark need to be paid by daily rate. We only stayed there for a toilet and it charged me daily rate. That's completely nonsense!By the way, the view is good.

Lake Lyell is a body of water created when the Cox River was damed to supply cooling water to the power stations in the Lithgow area. The Lake and water is a popular recreational area for boating, fishing and camping.

We were unable to enter because we didn’t have any coins. There were no visitor centre or booth that allowed us to get change. But even the drive down to the lake is incredibly mesmerising! Definitely will visit again next time.

This camp ground is at a great location. The powered sites where $30 in the off season with paying extra for hot shower. Facilities are okay but value for money is only average in my perspective. Also seems like that the park is not cleaned very often as lots of trash left behind by campers is around.

Lake Lyell Recreation Park
Its a hidden Gem, just under 2hrs drive from Sydney. Great place for day trip with family. Great place to camp with friends. Many of the camp sites are right next to the water. Sheard toilents are not much clean but manageable. Toilets have heated water and shower.
