Visited Friday 19th May. Absolutely brilliant. Fabulous food, the fish was amazing. Staff were very welcoming and attentive. Outstanding customer service!A little bit pricey but well worth it. You will not be left disappointed. Will definitely visit here again.

Dinner at Anglers Stirling with family. Worth the drive up to Stirling to experience fresh, locally sustainably sourced seafood. The in house chef is Sam Prance-Smith whose resume includes Heston Blumenthal's Fat Duck. This takeaway/fishmonger place has limited dine in seats but come dinner, you can see customers walking in for what my children said the best fish and chips they ever had. Beer battered barramundi with hand cut triple fried south Aussie chips. Not a single hint of fishy smell from the fresh barramundi fillet. This place also has a fish dry ager. The kingfish sashimi is creamy and will blow your mind. Tonight we ordered the wood fired seafood platter, Kingfish steak, octopus with mustard and a couple of fish and chips. The leather jacket cheek from the seafood plater is so smooth and fleshy. The other must try dish is the scallop with polenta and burnt seaweed.

This was a delightful surprise! Not only the food was delicious but also the chef is so creative. Everything was so well balanced, I loved that they cook using wood fire and dry aged fish… it brings so much more flavour

Love, love, love this place. Can I give it 6 stars? Best fish and chips I have ever eaten and so, so much more. Dry aged sashimi, woodfired fish, scallop pies, oysters and an evolving menu using the freshest locally-sourced in-season produce. The friendly chefs, Sam and Jez, are passionate about the ethical and sustainable sourcing of their seafood and the preparation and serving of every delicious element of their food.

Beer battered barramundi with hand cut south Aussie chips was pretty much the only choice I had for a walk in lunch takeaway only. The Barramundi was beautiful and fresh and it was nice to eat some hand made old school chips. The only negative for me was the cost $22.00 + $3 surcharge for a very small serving.

Sam at Angler Stirling has created the perfect environment for sustainable and ethical seafood with great options whether you dine or take home. He has mastered dry aging scale fish. Just a great ask and they will be more than happy to help you guide you through their seafood and introduce you to the fisherperson who caught the fish.

Just went to Angler using the Great State Voucher tonight. The experience was very informative without being overwhelming. The host made it very enjoyable, being very hospitable and answering all of our questions. This was followed up with a 6 course degustation showcasing a selection of seafood cooked in different ways. The aged salmon was by far my favourite course but that’s not to take away from the other 5 amazing courses. The bonus is that all the seafood is ethically sourced. I highly recommend others to come and try this place out if you find yourself out in Stirling!

Chef Sam is always warm and welcoming and takes the time to answer questions about the source of produce. Love the care, thought and attention he puts into pairing the food with wines on the list. Attention to detail is second to none. We are very lucky to have the calibre of food and service so close to home. Do yourself a favour and drop in for a great seafood meal.
