Never ever order a briyani and the chicken tikka masala ! The briyani was like hell with no flavour! And Chiken tikka masala had no salt how can you forget salt in chicken and where is the masala ! It’s like they warmed the chicekn in some paste and packed the food! Such a horrible experience!

There were cockroaches/Flies on the table and chair. They served soggy Mysore Masala dosa and pre cooked chola bhatoora (very oily). There is some unbearable smell in the dining area, curtains were used for washing rooms those were open. Overall really pathetic restaurant, will never recommend anyone. Completely wastage.

I went there today to get a takeaway for me which included 3 curries and rice. Well the guy put everything in a strofoam container which hot stuff was served in and when I got home the condensation of the heat from the curries made the everything wet. I wouldn't go back there for food and I have made a mistake of buying food from there.

Lacking a little in the airs and graces, Blue Moon is both a restaurant and a popular takeaway outlet with outdoor tables. Despite the glamour of a lurid blue glass chandelier, the deep red interior space is showing wear and tear. Red curtains that seemingly make the bathroom a feature, are actually doorways to hand washing stations. On the day I dined the mostly Indian clientele ate in the traditional way using their right hands to scoop up food with their fingers, washing their hands before and after the meal.Blue Moon’s South Indian menu offers everything from hoppers, idly and dosa, to inexpensive thali plate arrangements called Kerala meals. The non-veg Kerala meal ($18) came with two dahl curries, and six different vegetable and meat dishes (none announced by the sever). The best of which was a separate little pot of beef and coconut curry, best eaten with rice and a fluffy yellow dusting of sambar. The only dish I didn’t enjoy was the super-fishy flavour of the orange-hued fish curry.Despite a sloppy arrival that saw it coat our garlic and cheese naan ($4) ahead of any intentional dipping, the egg masala ($13.50) was an enjoyable eat. Well-sweated onions in a rich curry gravy ate nicely against the aforementioned flatbread, and on a simpler garlic naan ($2.50). To drink, there are options like a slightly-salty lemon drink ($4.50) or your standard curry quaffer, the Kingfisher ($6.50). While I won’t be rushing back, I did enjoy the South Indian focus and inexpensive cuisine.

Awful and disgraceful. I was served precooked soggy masala dosa with wet yellow liquid potatos inside. When putting the dosa on my table the waitress told me to pick a side of the soggy dosa flap so it wouldnt get caught under the tray as she set it down. When i said 'I'm not paying for this' she told me 'oh so you want a crispy dosa?!'.I still cant believe i was served something so bad. The food here used to be great and I have been taking my friends and family here (from Cronulla!) for over 10 years but after this experience I wont be back.

Try the beef fry, after coconut lagoon in Melbourne this place matches the taste to authenticity. Even tho the ambience is moderate, they have spacious dining area for 30+ ppl, compared to the rest of south India restaurants, I feel this is more like the south and reasonable than the fancy overpriced ones :) sweet and warm service . Chechi is the best <3

This is my go to place for takeaway curries. We are vegetarian.I bought fish curry for my mother here once. It was excessively oily. The paneer curry is very nice.
