Bourke Street Bakery
I would go here for their tarts. The ginger Brulee is definitely good. Well balanced flavour all around and quite a delight.Unfortunately that's the only reason why i would be back. Anything else is just normal where other bakeries can do better.

Bourke Street Bakery has really delicious pies, sausage rolls and pastries. It’s the perfect place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. They will even make you a fresh sandwich and tea or coffee. Everything is really delicious. It’s not a big place so seating is often difficult to find.

Ginger tart has always been one of my favourites! This time we tried their savoury selection - quiche, chicken pie & bacon egg roll, have to say they were quite average and nothing stood out. Ambience isn’t the best, gets very busy, crowded and noisy!

Came here a few times pre-COVID. Sad to see they no longer make baked ricotta cheese cakes. Got their potato top beef pie and their brisket pie. Unfortunately the pie crust was broken when placed into tray so it was a tricky eat! Loved the beef pie a classic. Brisket was neither here or there, lacking any defining flav. We also got the ginger crème brûlée tarts, one of my favs from the past but these were sub par. There was no brûlée, the hard crack sugar is a puddle of sugary mess.

Terrible service. The tallish skinny man with the bald head and feminine voice, was Thursday morning, is just chatting on the job. Didn't get his name. The pies are great however, been going here for over 5 years.

I don't understand how a bakery can sell its customers some leftovers.. We've just bought 4 stale croissants that unfortunately went straight to the bin...DISAPPOINTED! Tried calling (5 times) to complain but nobody's picking up the phone.

Bourke Street Bakery is a Sydney institution. It’s been around for a while and always delivers.Everything is made fresh onsite and the quality is never disappoints. Their pies, sausage rolls and breads are outstanding. The croissants are also really good, big and fluffy and flaky.The toasted sandwiches are amazing - the beef with mustard is really good.Try the beef pie and the lamb harissa sausage roll, they are so good. The olive bread is also a winner. Pork and fennel sausage roll deserves an award.Limited customer parking out the back, I just recently discovered this as street parking can be difficult.

Almond praline croissant is awesome! The custard filling is taste of childhood. Coffee is nice too. Highly recommend!
