Yarrowee River Trail
Lovely undulating walking and cycling trail that follows the Yarrowee River and passes through Ballarat CBD. Lots of access points and info signs along the way. Some sections sealed, but mostly well maintained unsealed. The section from Black Hill to Gong Gong is probably the prettiest.

Great place to go for a walk, long or short, with or without your dog's. Great for bike riders too. Plenty carparking off street. Nice river, my dogs like going for a dip tho this is an onleash area so only if they have good recall. There are no toilets, playgrounds or picnic areas tho.

Very relaxing walk alongside the river. Plenty of rabbits to be chased by my dog Rosie. We had a lot of of rain, so the place is preaty wet at the moment.

Went to this walk on Princes st and found it was closed due to a bio hazard.

A very good walking or cycling trail. We started at Gong Gong Reserve and walked about 6kms return. Reasonably flat and quite wide, really good boardwalk across the wetter areas, and lots of shady areas to rest. Many seats scattered along the path to rest as well. Some really beautiful private gardens back onto the path provide a contrast from the gum trees and scrub. Many car parking spots along the way if you've got younger members of the family not wanting to cover the whole distance. My next adventure will be to tackle the entire track from end to end ....about 12 kms.
