I have been a client of Michael Dibs Broadbeach for 5 years now. I’m a traveling performing and when I am home in between contracts I make sure to stay loyal to my favourite hair salon in the Gold Coast!I honestly wouldn’t go anywhere else. The service is phenomenal and the price is reasonable!It’s very much a family atmosphere as soon as you arrive in the salon. I really look forward to my weekly appointments! Couldn’t reccomend the team at Broadbeach enough!

When going to a new hair salon you will always have the risk of your hair turning out badly. This can be due to numerous factors such as wrong colour choice, miscommunications, stylist feeling pressured or just having a bad day. It happens. However, it is expected that reputable salons will work to amend these situations when they arise. I wish I could say Michael dib pacific fair was one of these reputable salons.My first experience at this salon was extremely positive. Because of my so far good experience, I relentlessly recommended the salon to my mum, who eventually agreed. I decided to pay for her before seeing the end result, wanting to do something special for her. my mums hair turned out brown and grey in a zebra pattern, the tips of her hair were still the original colour she came in with and there were horizontal brown lines running around the mid length. It wasn’t a good look. Mistakes happen. I finally convinced my mother to go in a second time. The stylist did her best to improve it however it was still grey in parts, random brown blobs were around her hair and there were still horizontal lines.So, after a second visit and being left still feeling horrible about her hair, my mum did not want to return again. This was disappointing in itself, to recommend a salon and then see your mum having to hate her hair so much, I still believed this to be a reputable salon however. I told my mum to send a Facebook message and explain. When mum did this, she received an instant reply stating that the owner would fix it. For obvious reasons my mother did not wish to return to the salon a third time to get her hair fixed. Not to mention living 45mins away from the salon.I suggested she ask for a partial refund ( not a full, as we understood that products were used and the stylist she had was extremely nice...) and I still wanted to keep returning to the salon and didn’t want too much awkwardness. I believed, and I believe many others would see this as fair.Once the word refund was mentioned, my mum was consistently left on read. My mum then said that she would appreciate a full refund. ( as since they were ignoring her, she no longer felt that the customer service was worth having her hair being turned bad and losing a little bit of money)The only reply she received was basically stating that she could come in a third time but that was it. Hair is so powerful, so for a salon to take away her confidence with her hair and then force her to feel uncomfortable by going in a third time just to get it fixed instead of giving the money back so she could get it redone with a trusted hairdresser. It really makes me just sad. It is at this point, I see the salon for what it really is.My mother’s partner then called the salon and spoke to the owner, he was aggressively told by the owner that my mother would not be getting her money back.In frustration and bouncing off this aggression my mums partner said things thing he definitely shouldn’t have.However,the owner than called them twice being aggressive and stating very horrible things I don’t wish to repeat. It is obvious my mum will not be receiving a refund and will be stuck with hair she hates.I’m not here to stop anybody from attending the salon if they wish but I could never recommend it again. Things happen. Sometime a stylist won’t always get your hair right. It’s is always the reaction to this that you can see the difference between a good salon to a bad one.Micheal dibs owners response is uncaring, unfair, unprofessional and aggressive. So if you chose to take the risk here with your hair, just know that the owners response will be this.I truely think the hairdressers and apprentices are incredibly lovely and they could do much better in a more supportive environment. In my visits I have often seen staff being treated poorly. So if the stylist and staff are reading this, please know no negativity is aimed at you. It is simply in the reaction and unprofessionalism of the owner.

Melissa is amazing the best hair dresser I've ever had. My colour and cut looks amazing and so natural! I came in with it so damaged and bland and they sprung it back to life. I loved my experience and the results, definitely coming back :)

Love the team at Michael Dib Pacific Fair. Always super friendly and welcoming, and my hair has never been in better condition. Brilliant service and exceptional quality. Also absolutely recommend their at home treatment, definitely worth buying

Best hair stylists on the Gold Coast. Darren is just the best hairdresser and always makes you feel comfortable and welcomed. The owner is also a great guy. Very professional and friendly.

Was very happy with the service. Jaclyn is such a lovely lady, did a great wash n blow dry. I don’t get to the coast much but this made my Friday a very happy one. Will definitely go back when I go the goldie again. Awesome salon!!

Went to Michael Dib Pacific Fair for a blow dry while attending a conference on the Gold Coast (after another hair salon cancelled). Not only were they accommodating, they did it quickly and beautifully. I returned a few days later with three friends from the conference, and we all needed our hair done quite quickly. They were busy, but quickly mobilized their team to accommodate. In a time when it’s too easy to say “too hard”, they went over and above. Can’t thank them enough. Thanks to Mel the manager, who made my first experience one to come back for.
