Bistro Chez Nous | bistro chez nous is the dream and creation of Robyn Jackson. Robyn's love affair with France has seen her study at The Ritz, Paris and for over 10 years she has taken culture-hungry Australians on 'a cooks tour of France' through the local produce markets, cooking schools and restaurants.

Very nice french style foodClose to Surrey Hills station Arrived on Valentine night for a four course meal. Loved the terrine and pate as part of the charcuterie starter. No butter was spared in prepping the poisson du jour main. Petit fours are very tasty and not too sweet. Free french champagne on arrival was very welcome. Have been a few times and never let down. Needed a take away as we were both extremely full. Friendly front of house staff especially Ben or whats the scores George Doors.

Cute little bistro in the heart of Surrey Hills. Fairly pricey but worth the cost. Menu offers a nice variety without being overboard with choices. Attentive staff and speedy service. Would recommend

A wonderful French bistro in Surrey Hills. Tucked away near the rail crossing on Union Road, this is our new favourite bistro.The lunch menu is focused and inventive. Thoroughly recommended.

Had a beautiful dinner here, the owners are amazing, kind and very personal. The food was absolutely delicious - I could live on the Soupe A l'oignon - and the serving sizes were huge! The coffee was also top notch. Absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back

Incredible food. Cannot believe this place has been here and we never went in until now. The duck was soft, delicate and perfectly pink with a bold orange sauce and it was perfect with a Pinot Noir. The terrine was delicious with a punchy flavoured jelly complimented with warmed sour dough and cornichons then all topped off with an amazing selection of deserts in bite size pieces. Totally satisfied.

Quite monthly dinner with the lads on a chilly Thursday evening. Every table was full in this tiny suburban restaurant. The atmosphere was good and surprisingly not too loud. The food was simple but good. We all had the $79 fixed price for 3 courses.

We have dined there several times and always enjoyed the food and the ambience.With corona virus they are now doing take home meals that you can heat at home.We ordered food for a special Friday night in (as every night is a night in during stage 4 lockdown these days alas!). Food was amazing - something to bring a little joy to the dreary times.

It can be better ...I'm all for quaint, stand-alone, rustic, suburbia gems ...always happy to travel and support them ... and I know times are tough, there were just 3 couples for the evening.$79.00/person 2-course and shared dessert petit-four, the hightlight was the beef Beef bourguignon, it was wholesome, rustic, delicious sumptuous, and well presented ... fish of the day was okay, bland for my liking and tiny ... average entree, disappointed with desserts ... it should be better.
