Black Cat Boarding

We have used Black Cat Boarding on many occasions. We could not be happier with the care and attention Rocky is given. We would not hesitate to recommend Lynette and her team to anyone needing to place their cat or kitten in care.The facilities are clean, well maintained and we always get a happy cat back!

Unfortunately we had a bad experience with Black Cat Boarding which is such a shame as all the reviews were good.We first dealt with Luana via email and the incorrect drop off times were given. On drop off day, we called to ask if we need to bring kitty litter and they said no and then told us the new drop off time has to be at 11:00am not 12:00pm as arranged in emails because they had an appointment. We had to leave work straight away as it was 10:30am to rush home and get everything for the cats and drop them off before 11:00am.When we arrived we dropped the cats off and we weren’t that impressed with their accommodation/surroundings. They call it 5 star boarding but I really don’t think it is. There are heaps of cages and they aren’t very inviting or comfortable. There was no smell though so that was one plus.After we dropped the cats off for 6 nights (Thursday to Wednesday) and were ready to leave, the lady at the front desk told us to follow Black Cat Boarding on Facebook and they would post a photo of our 2 cats the next day on Friday or sometime on the weekend. We kept checking the Facebook page all weekend and still no posts.. we messaged them on Monday via Facebook and we said we were worried because they told us they would post photos of our cats and we hadn’t seen or heard anything. They replied saying sorry and they will post pictures ASAP... we kept waiting and waiting, still no photos. Then they uploaded the cats pictures Wednesday morning, 1 hour before we picked them up!!To make it worse, they didn’t feed our cats what we instructed. We printed instructions for them to feed the cats 1 can each cat morning and night (total of 4 cans a day) and have a bowl of dry food for them to help themselves. We gave them 24 cans of food and we came back with 12 cans and heaps of leftover dry food! So they only fed our cats half of the food and they came back noticeably skinnier :( we are pretty mortified as this is our first time using a cattery and we really don’t want to do it again. I would not recommend this company as I think there would be better ones in Mornington. I have just found out our Vet, Beleura Hill Vet has cat boarding so if we ever have to do it again we will enquire there as we know they love all animals and treat them beautifully.Also with drop off and pick up.. there is only a 1 hour time frame so we couldn’t even pick up our cats when we get home Tuesday afternoon. I would not recommend this cattery to anyone. Our poor cats seemed like they had a horrible time there.

Have been using black cat boarding for a long time

We have confidently left our fur babies with Lyn and Black Cat Boarding for years. They have a great private quater with outddoor access. Our babies are always happy and content.

Great cat boarding place. The cleanest and latest cat facilities on the Peninsula. I especially appreciated their assistance with giving daily medication to my cat. Thank you

Our cat loves the indoor / outdoor cages. We drive from melbourne for this feature. They care for the animals and in the years we have been a customer have never had any complaints. Lynnette runs a great Cattery. Highly recommended.
