Wow! Ok how have we not been here before!?My family are Italian so I’m pretty fussy when it comes to authentic pizza. This place is simply delicious. Amazing flavours, perfect base and fresh ingredients - yum!We had the prosciutto and the gamberi pizza - both amazing! Paired with a couple of glasses of great Italian red!Can’t wait to return to try more of the menu!

Definitely worthy of recommendation, best spaghetti marinara ever had although they called it a name I don’t really know. Hope you can understand Italian cuisine menu is hard to read for a Chinese. Freshly made house noodle is the key and their chilli oil just brings out the flavour of the dish. My other half liked prochuito pizza more and I have to pay compliment to Matteo and Marlen for their wonderful work with the restaurant. Every staff is friendly and it’s worth to pay a visit from surfers paradise, only 15 mins drive.

What an amazing little gem this place here! I’ve come here multiple times and I always manage to stuff my face with delicious and authentic Italian food (I’m from Italy, and I can tell you that this food is great for real). I’ve tried all their appetisers but my favourite ones are the stracciatella, olive all’ascolana and their stunning garlic bread. The pizzas are also superb, their Regina and Mortadella are a dream come true, I didn’t think I would have found authentic Italian pizza on the Gold Coast but thank god we have now got Matteo and his amazing staff. A presto ragazzi, ciao!

Family gathering of 9 people easily catered with various dietary requirements, even low carb. Fabulous atmosphere, friendly assistance with menu, timely service of food and drinks. Every meal was packed with flavour. Top quality genuine recipes, even my special sashimi grade tuna. I wish I could give you extra stars Matteo! 11/10 Thanks for an entertaining evening. See you again soon.

Always the most delicious and authentic Italian food I’ve had outside of Italy.Wonderful, friendly and relaxed service! Great wine list and very well made cocktails.The whole team at Matteos are fantastic!Great for intimate date nights to larger group dinners or even a quiet solo dinner at the bar.

My husband and I absolutely loved our first time dining at Matteo’s. Everything we ate was delicious. The Italian wines we tried were beautiful and all the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The best Italian on the GC in our opinion. Cannot wait to dine again to try more off the menu!

I ate at Matteo’s for the first time last night and really wish I’d discovered this place sooner! After having my favourite Italian spots for years on the Goldy, I can’t believe I’m saying this place now takes out #1 for me.The best pizza I’ve had in ages, the sausage, sage and Gorgonzola was huge, the base was incredible and toppings perfect.The service was incredible too, Marlon was so knowledgeable especially when it came to gluten free stuff and their processes and ingredients. His service and that of the other staff was flawless and it felt like we were regulars even though it was our first time there.Thank you guys so much and I’ll definitely be back asap!
