I had an amazing experience on the 5 day Kakadu tour with our guide Adam. He was a really genuine and knowledgeable person who shared his insight into the environment and Aboriginal culture. He took us to areas that required special permits that other tour groups have no access to. Beyond that we even explored further into the bush to find art sites that very few even know about! This was definitely a unique experience that I couldn't have achieved on my own. We had a small friendly group and the tour was great to offer different levels of physical activity to cater for different people. Some chose to relax by the waterfall while others hiked further. I loved camping without a fly over the tent so I could stargaze before I went to sleep. The food was plentiful and my favorite was the roast which we cooked in a cast iron pot over the fire. I highly recommend this tour and I can't wait to come back to the Top End for more adventures!

Firstly I would like to thank Dan for all the effort he puts into this company. You are so lucky to have such a knowledgeable and experienced guide who is so passionate about Kakadu.I have just completed the 5 day Kakadu/Koolpin trip.I think Territory Expeditions really needs to re think using an abandoned road house as their accommodation. The amenities were filthy and not at all pleasant to use.The food on this tour was adequate and we didn't go hungry but it doesn't take much to provide a few basic herbs, cracked pepper and extras like Parmesan cheese for pasta and a roast by the fire would have been fabulous.Overall I enjoyed our 5 days with a fabulous group of people but would have to think seriously about another trip with your company. Safari Tents were not provided at the second camp making it difficult to sleep when you have a crook back. You also advertise that the $40 entrance fee is included but we paid on tour in cash?I think with some fine tuning this could be not just a good experience but an excellent one.

My husband and I went on the 3 day tour to Kakadu and Litchfield. We had an awesome tour guide Dan and a great group of people that toured with us.It was an amazing experience to see the wild life, waterfalls and immerse yourself in culture. Dan made sure that we saw and experienced Kakadu at its very best- so a huge thanks to him. There was plenty of food and cold water. Make sure you take sunscreen and mosquito repellent.

My husband and I have just completed the 5 day Kakadu/Koolpin trip with Territory Expeditions, and were very pleased with the experience. Our guide, Dan, was a bit of a larrikin, but with a wealth of knowledge. We stayed at 2 camping grounds, well away from other groups, and had the option of a tent or enclosed bunk bed cabin. We really did not expect this style of accommodation, but you're going into the bush, right!!!. Sleeping bags with a provided sheet and pillow on top of a thin mattress was adequate but not particularly comfortable. For future travellers, expect that you get involved in food preparation, dishwashing and cleaning up. Everyone is expected to pitch in. No room for princesses. All meals were prepared by the group at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food was varied and plentiful. Dan stopped at a bottle shop on the way to first overnighter, allowing all passengers to gather ample liquid supplies for the 4 nights. Eskies were kept ice filled. The tour took us to various waterfalls and gorges in Kakadu. A number of these 1-2 km walks are very tough to negotiate due to the tracks being very rocky and not levelled out for the public. The aboriginal artwork was fascinating to see and understand. Our highlight was the cruise on the Yellow Waters billabong getting very close to crocodiles and birdlife. The tour caters for 12 passengers. On our tour we were the only couple, with one elderly gent, and 8 single young women. We all got along very well. Hint to any single young men thinking about Kakadu……Very glad we got to travel to these remote locations, and had plenty of time to relax.

As Aussies (with environmental science backgrounds) doing an NT tourist trip together, we could not have been happier with our choice of tour company. Our guide Russ was exceptional. We were impressed with Russ’ knowledge of the local indigenous history and culture and all enjoyed asking questions about the native flora and fauna we encountered. It turns out that Territory Expeditions are such a respectful and responsible company that they have been granted more permits than any of the other tour groups operating in Kakadu. That speaks for itself! Russ took us off the beaten tourist track, knew all of the best spots and how to spend the least amount of time in the van while still getting to see everything... The whole trip was well planned and super fun - thanks to a great tour company! Highly recommended for Australian tourists as well as international visitors. I loved it and would definitely go again!!

Reading through some of these poor reviews has me very confused. We had such an amazing 3 days in Kakadu! Having never camped before I was a little unsure what to expect, however armed with my ‘good sense’ to bring mosquito repellent I was ready for anything. Adam our guide was an absolute delight! Full of knowledge and a brilliant sense of humour he was equipped to deal with anything we through at him. On our return to Darwin my friend and I were keen to tell everyone back home how our experience was outstanding. Adam took the time to speak with anyone in our group of 16 making each of us more than included. I think we will struggle to find a tour guide as wonderful as Adam again. Truly an individual and an experience we will remember for a life time.

Stunning trip ran at a brilliantly relaxed pace. Our tour guide Adam was brilliant from start to finish, he kept everything ticking over nicely and there was a great tone to everything he said. Not overboard with detail but willing to provide more if needed. He was also a hero early on as a truck knocked over a petrol pump setting it alight at our first stop off and Adam grabbed an extinguisher and ran towards the chemical fire to put it out(photographed). Adam's passion for the area and it's people was clear throughout the tour. I have zero hesitation in recommending this tour to anyone, 3 days in this truly beautiful place was enough and fitted in nicely to the long weekend. I'll certainly be back for a longer trip.

We have just got back from the 3 day 4wd Kakadu tour, Elliott our guide was fantastic he lives and breathes everything Kakadu. He was able to immerse us in the local culture and history. From knowledge of the land, the people, rock art, bush tucker. His passion for the area just added to the experience. As it was the start of the dry season not all areas were open, but we still were taken to off road waterfall locations we would not have been able to access ourselves. The accommodation was amazing, even got treated to be he bonus of an outdoor shower one night, just bliss! There was ample food provided for lunch and snacks and it was great to start the day with a buffet breakfast. Highly recommended.
