Nice dining atmosphere and setting with sunset at the back drop during summer dinnertime. Nice food with beautiful presentation, and service was adequate. We had the 2 courses meal option with additional lobster roll as snacks.

- $$$$ not $$. Only options (on a Sunday?) were three course or Degustation (5 course). I chose dégustation which was $130.- Nice setting, pleasant, warm and good acoustics.- Food presentation was beautiful.- The wait staff was really lovely and polite but I think they could benefit from better training on how to describe the food and wine.- $75 wine paring not worth it. The wines didn’t bring anything special out in the dishes and the waitress wasn’t trained to speak knowledgeably to why they were paired.- Lobster roll was scrumptious but tiny (understandably) I am particularly passionate about lobster rolls and the mix was perfect. The brioche could have been lighter/improved.- Heirloom tomatoes and stracciatella was beautiful and I enjoyed the jellied construction- a nice variant from typical dishes.- Peas were served with two of the dégustation courses- boring and also bland.- Lamb was perfectly cooked (assume sous vide) but not warm enough, root vegetable gratin was bland and a disappointment.Overall I enjoyed my experience and the waitstaff were lovely but they could have been better trained (particularly on the wine pairings) given that the food and experience is intended to be fine dining.

What an incredible dining experience, I highly recommend Botanica for an intimate dinner with loved ones. The flavors were sublime, the staff knowledgeable and the ambiance was a perfect combination of welcoming and stylish. Our waitress was young but passionate about wine and food. Lovely to see.

Excellent food worth its own trip to the Hunter Valley from Sydney. James and Sam were brilliant, couldn't have hoped for more hospitable and knowledgeable hosts.

We booked a lunch seating at 1:30pm for 4 and finished by 3:15pm. Fantastic presentation of entree, mains and dessert, great service and ambiance. We will definitely be back.

Restaurant Botanica offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a memorable dining experience. The staff were undeniably friendly and helpful, providing attentive service throughout our visit. However, there were a few aspects that left us with mixed feelings.Let's start with the positives. The bread and butter were simply divine, which made it an instant hit. The truffle fries, undoubtedly, were a highlight of the meal, impressing us with their perfect crispiness and satisfying taste.On the downside, we couldn't help but feel that the menu was priced rather ambitiously, making us question whether the focus was more on making the menu accommodate to the price versus the price accommodating to the quality of the dishes. This sentiment was echoed in some of our choices, which didn't quite meet the high expectations set by the bread, butter, and truffle fries.One shining star, however, was the Botanica cocktail. It delighted our taste buds with its well-balanced addition of lavender, earning it a spot on our must-try" list. The wine menu

Beautiful venue and beautiful food. Service was lovely and the ambience was really nice. The food is very fresh and clean. I thought portions were quite small, especially for the vegan, vegetarian menu. I think for the price some surprise courses/small bites in between could be served.I would happily go back again! It was nice to have a vegetarian/vegan friendly menu!

We went there for lunch today. Staff are very welcoming and make you feel comfortable. We had the 3 course menu and everything was well presented, full of flavour and amazing. We had a lovely experience.

Absolutely phenomenal!! We went to Celebrate a double birthday for myself & a friend that was booked by the family.Unfortunately they had their puppy with them & asked for pet friendly service.Reservations were made of the evening & we were seated outside in the freezing cold weather. Ash kindly assisted us by moving us to an appropriate location.The overall experience was terrific!Hospitality was wonderful!The food was absolutely incredible!Thank YOU
