Dr Melinda Cook

I am in complete shock over the level of service that I received from Melinda Cook and team. I went for my first appointment and was referred by Melinda for a CT Scan for a life-threatening condition. I was told at this appointment that I would not have to re-book to get these results, but simply wait for a callback for the results over the phone from her surgery. Two days after the results were sent by the radiologist I called and asked for Melinda to ring me back with results. This never happened. I rang back 3 further times over a period of 3 weeks waiting for my results, and the receptionist told me every time that she had referred my message to Melinda for a callback. 3 weeks later I am still waiting for Melinda's callback. Today I called the surgery quite angry to once again follow up, and I was told the same thing. Melinda would call me back. 2 hours later I received a callback - not from Melinda Cook, but from a receptionist there. The receptionist was calling to tell me that she had spoken to Melinda and that Melinda thought it best that I get my results from the radiologist forwarded to another specialist! What a joke! Rather than face her patient and spend 10 mins over the phone delivering the results, she has pathetically and cowardly gotten her receptionist to send me away. In the end, it has all been for the best. Why would I want to be operated on by someone who cannot run their surgery or even confront patients. Shame on you Melinda!

Melinda is such a caring and is professional DR and has helped me recover with confidence. An amazing lady.Makes sure all the tests are very thorough and guides you with so much care through your situation every time , over the past 4 years I have been her patient I have never experienced anything but the best form her and all the staff at the office every time.

I've been seeing Melinda for breast cancer treatment for a year now. Having my 12 month follow up appointment yesterday prompted me to leave a review.I've realised there are a couple of small but important ways in which she stands out from all the (MANY) other specialists I've seen.First, she does this thing where as she's talking to you, she makes an excellent set of structured notes that you take home. You end up with a very clear outline of the state of things, the options, and the to-do list of decisions you need to make. This was especially valuable because she was the first specialist I saw after diagnosis, when everything felt very chaotic and daunting, and I'm sure I wouldn't have retained the information otherwise.The second thing is that she is really good at factoring in costs. She incorporates an estimate of how much tests or treatments cost right from the beginning when discussing options. She is conscious of the financial demands in a way that my other specialists sometimes aren't.I don't know if people choose specialists based on internet reviews, but if you have been referred to Dr Cook, know that you are in good hands.

Really???? I find this very hard to believe. All of my experience with Dr Cook and her staff has been supportive, helpful and compassionate. Thank you so much all of you for ensuring things are done efficiently and quickly for me. :)

I find the one star rating for Dr Cook completely unbelievable. Dr Cook and her team have gone out of their way to ensure my health and well-being are a priority. They have followed up after each scan and appointment. I am returning soon for my 12 month checkup after a reminder from Dr Cook's team, an appointment I may have otherwise forgotten. If you value your health and are seeking no nonsense, realistic advice and support look no further. Thanks Dr Cook :o)
