Hillarys Community Kindergarten

All three of our children have been through this wonderful kindergarten. Alison, Sandra and Julie are gifted educators who care about every single child in the centre. The children are taught the Education Department curriculum through play based methods, which has been proven to be the best way to teach this particular age bracket. Social skills work is also a big part of the curriculum, as the children need to know how to get along with each other in a group and how to resolve conflicts. Parents are welcome to be involved, with opportunities to help out in the day to day running of the centre, as well as on the parent committee. Each day is filled with fun, laughter, singing and messy play. My children still remember their time here with great fondness and are so sad that their time has come to an end! Magda Upton.

Alison and her team do a fantastic job providing a quality and enriching program for the children. The outdoor setting and facilities where HCK are set are outstanding. Alison and her team are friendly and approachable, at all times we felt very much involved in our daughter’s education which was important to us as parents. The vast range of programmes run through the year with incursions and local community visits helped connect educational concepts with life skills and extended our daughter’s learning beyond the four walls of a class room. My daughter has flourished and thrived at HCK, making the beginning her first year of formal schooling as enjoyable and engaging as we had desired for her. We would highly recommend this kindergarten and hope our son has the opportunity to attend in the future.

This is a well resourced, beautifully kept kindergarten with talented and caring staff. Our child loves every moment and so have we.

I highly recommend this wonderful Kindy! Set in beautiful surroundings with caring and experienced staff, plenty of space to learn and play, and excellent equipment. We are very grateful to have discovered HCK as we could not have asked for a better introduction to our children's formal education. Two of our children went here and have very fond memories, and we look forward to sending our third when she is old enough.

This wonderful kindy has helped my boy flourish and grow more than I could have hoped for. Alison, Sandra and Julie are the most caring, experienced, early childhood educators and have made my son completely ready to move on to full time school. A wonderful play based kindy with the most caring staff. Alison goes over and above with the help of Julie and Sandra to cater to each childs learning style. Hillarys Community Kindy has given my child the confidence and tools he needs to step into Pre Primary School.

This kindy is amazing. If you want a play-based learning experience for your child then this is it! Alison is an incredibly dedicated and caring teacher and her aides are fantastic too. Set your kid up emotionally and academically for pre-primary and give them a super-fun year in a beautiful community, nature-surrounded setting.
