Very nice hike, challenging if you are not somewhat fit. I didn't go to the summit though, only half way. One day I'll make it

Be aware there is 5kms of dirt road,with a few culvert crossings...You don't need a 4WD,but some parts are very narrow and blind corners.Plenty of walking trails clearly marked,and a small picnic area.Try to avoid using the toilets...there are some nearby at Peak Crossing.

Flinders Plum Picnic Area
Very scenic and peaceful reserve with well kept facilities. A range of walking tracks and longer hikes. Plenty of wildlife and a pleasant picnic area. The last several kilometres of the gravel road in are narrow and winding so care is required for oncoming traffic.

Tidy, mowed, good views. This lovely area, needs more parking, and shelters, as it is very popular.

Nice rest area and starting spot for an extensive network of walks amongst the hoop pines and mountains.Loses one star for the errant Norfolk Pine in the picnic area

Great area for a jump off point to go hiking/bushwalking. Make sure you have water, decent ankle support shoes and a buddy. The toilet is on a whole other level and not in a good way either..

Starting point for Flinder's Peak, Mt Blaine as well as a few other walking trails. Awesome views from the top, well worth the effort. Long dirt track to get to Flinders Plum, wouldn't like to try it after it rains unless you have a 4WD

I went here as part of a photograph workshop... Quiet little spot, bbq, picnic tables under a shelter shed, toilets... I'd just like to remind people to think how they park as it does get busy during the lovely winter weather and lots more people walking/hiking...
