Actually pretty good experience. Staff were understanding of my circumstance and were helpful. Bit frosty to begin with but i get the feeling that they are not supported by the Government to the degree they require.

BEWARE this department/office is very hard to deal with! Staff rude, No customer service skills what so ever… They advise me that I needed to call before hand and make an appointment (nothing stated anywhere about this) but then when you do no one answers the phone. Office hours on Google are wrong. See attached photo for the very unfriendly opening hours. I’m sitting in my car outside their office writing this review, people are turning up every 5min and leaving disgusted with this pathetic Public Service!

Extremely Rude and very hard to deal with!

This is my first time going through the process of applying for a firearm licence and now PTA and I have to say the staff have been really helpful. I conntacted them mainly via email and they were more than happy to answer my questions/ point me in the right direction and help me out.

I can't speak for others, but the lady officer that I dealt with just now is extremely rude and not knowledgeable.Apparently this office needs better training and they should do better on interviewing for staffs

I had a reasonable experience here. There is a lady that works in the office that is extremely helpful and some others there that are bordering on obstructive.Make sure before you go:- Book an appoint online- have everything for the application (will send you away if incomplete)- Have your 100 pts of ID (licence / passport / Medicare)

Honestly, the people are fine, ive never had a drama with them , including the civilian staff, just treat them with respect and kindness, as you would when speaking to one of the uniformed members - they're all quite reasonable from my experience.

This is the worst orgnization in ACT government and very very very and VERY bad attitude staff, not suppose to work in the government agency and the phone is never get answered on time and they will NRVER say sorry even they made a mistake!! I was try lodge a complain and left a message to the staff and never got reply or call back, maybe its the staff herself know she is about to be complained and havent pass onto the management level staff there at all!!! Have this government agency ever look at review and try to improve the customer service at all??????? I answer for you: NO! You havent! The uniform staff there is very helpful, but the other reception famle staff is the worst i ever seen in the goverment agency. I speak for my name and for people who have been going through the same thing all the time and time again, this is not a news in the firearm comunity at all... unlucky enough, we all know who we talk about.

Inept at their job.Never answers when you call.Completely disorganised.Uniformed staff are great and helpful when you can contact them. I'd strongly suggest trying to work with them exclusively
