New and modern building with comforting amenities. The library upstairs is a great spot for studying and getting things done.

Very friendly and courteous staff. The new library facility is nicely done. Bright colours and light gives fresh touch.

Cool new community space and the library looks great but still feels quite congested. There are also less computers for public use compared to the old library so hopefully there'll be more but the computers are really nice.

Great place to visit. The cafe and lounge area is relaxing and a fantastic place to meet up and chat. The library upstairs is absolutely brilliant as are the community meeting and workshop rooms. Parramatta square itself is also full of restaurants and cafes and is a very short walk from the Westfield Shopping complex and the main train and bus stations.

The old civic place and Library site at Macquarie street, Parramatta (the site was there until 2016 and demolished for the construction of Parramatta Square)has been beautifully transformed into the new happening PHIVE civic place. You need to see this building roof in the night-simply amazing.It is part of the PARRAMATTA square.The building consists of1. Reception of City of Parramatta council at Ground level . Justice of Peace available all week days here.2. LIBRARY on levels 1 and 23. Council meeting rooms & offices at Level 34. Basement - Arts and ExhibitionAll civic facilities in one STOP.

stunning design and cutting edge technology, bravo for Parra new library/ community service centre

It's alright...This library is pretty nice but there are some things that could be improved. The building looks good and is in the right location. Unfortunately the space isn't well used. It's a big building but many rooms are 'reserved' for other things and out of public use. Only about 50% of the space is really part of the library making it feel pretty small, and that's not including the top floor which is completely unavailable to the public. The biggest problem the collection of books. For a library their ahh... 'library' is quite small. All the local libraries have tall shelves and thin gaps between them to carry a lot more books with less room, leaving lots of open space for the rest of the building. Phive has short shelves and wide gaps between them, many of the books are not stacked together. I'm hoping they'll get more books, I would really like some higher level academic books maybe on maths and engineering. It would be great if just anyone could learn higher level subjects just for their enjoyment. The staff are very friendly good job on that :) I will say though I am concerned that as Parra becomes more like the CBD, I'm concerned for the amount of space there is, it already gets mildly crowded at times... mildly.

Exceptional resource for the City of Parramatta. The Library is super nice and very useful for students and lifelong learners. There are many other great community spaces with nice views of Parramatta Square or the other nice open areas around now. Parramatta have been very clever about designing functional and useful spaces unlike many other councils who splash out huge money that just look flashy on the outside (especially City of Sydney). Still not the Paris of Sydney and never will be but certainly Parramatta has carved out a fresh and diverse identity here.

Its a 2 level architecture marvel built in the heart of Parramatta. The Parramatta library provides a fulfilling experience for the visitors as it caters to most needs. The library has access to clean bathrooms, drinking water tap, meeting rooms, printers, Justice of peace and creative sitting areas. The place reflects the memories related to first nations peoples responsibly. The 24 hour return chute placed outside the library is an amazing feature completely removing the human involvement or time constraints at the issuing counter, returns counter.

This square is developing into a top spot. The recently planted trees are doing well, even starting to provide plenty of shade. The wooden benches for sitting on are well placed and are usually clean, probably due to weather. Sometimes the tall surrounds blocks sunlight, what could you expect in the heart of Parramatta. The whole scene has been well planned, it is obvious that of consideration has gone into the development. With that exceptional Parramatta Library exquisitely placed, what more could the people of the district want to improve their habitat. Sincerely liking it, Thomas Stevens.
