Came here as my usual chicken and rice place in the Adelaide Market's Food Court is no longer and was really looking forward to having some chicken and rice. They ran out of traditional, so I ordered the crispy skin version. Everything was nice.. I do prefer the dipping sauce from the old place I went to though. Service is good, friendly and quick. Would come back for sure when next in Adelaide.

The most authentic Malaysian style chicken rice so far in Adelaide. Small place but with great food.Missus always said, there is no need to have a lot of choices when it comes to good food. Unlike majority of fast food or restaurant, you have to spend so much of time just to read the menu and choosing the food. Here, it’s really very straight forward - chicken rice.Focus on one and make it the best out of it. This is what you will find here and they really did the best job into bringing the great authentic chicken rice alive.Thumbs up for Uncle !

Just complain about lack of attention to the amount of food they were serving. My meal was severely lacking in portion size and left me feeling unsatisfied.I had high hopes for this place, but unfortunately, the lack of food amounted to an unacceptable dining experience.Additionally, I found a piece of inedible lemon grass in my meal box, which was an unpleasant surprise. Furthermore, the rice was overcooked and lacked texture.please check the 2nd picture.I hope the restaurant can address these issues to improve the overall dining experience for its customers.

Really enjoyed the crispy skin chicken, price of the meal was very reasonable and they serving size was generous. Would have been great to have some kind of chilli with the dish. Great quick lunch stop. Would go again

Great place for a quick lunch! The service was very quick. The food was fairly tasty and the price was good ($12.80) for a work"-day lunch. My only issue is that the crispy skin chicken was not crispy

Best Hainanese chicken rice outside of Malaysia! Love the authentic chicken, and the ginger sauce is so yummy! Free crackers is such a good touch, you'll never regret coming here. Seating is limited, but it's worth the wait. Or takeaway. Highly recommended, and beer is available. Tee the chef is amazing!

Might be my top 3 chicken rice place in Adelaide. The chicken was incredibly juicy and tender, the rice was super flavourful.I love the hainan chili and the garlic/spring onion oil condiments. Just added extra flavour to my chicken rice.Overall, I highly recommend Uncle Chicken Rice for anyone who loves chicken rice =)
