Blockout Blinds

AVOID AT ALL COST !!!! I've never been one to rate at less than 5 Stars. But this company truly does not even deserve a star(in fact it warrants minus stars!). Delivery, from time of order over 6 months. The initial installation was attached reverse & after another lengthy period of wait to repair; the workmanship was of such poor quality. After reading the most recent reviews, it's apparent they really should reassess their entire operation, from start to finish! Cannot see how this business will operate for much longer :( :(

After all the issues, 1 star is very generous. They didn't inform me that the blinds were ready. I had to call up and they told me that they had been ready for a week. The installer did not install the bottom sill of the cassette roller blind and when my partner asked about it he told her there was no such part. Eventually the bottom sill was installed on another visit but the shade of white did not match that of the side sills. I have reached out to the aftersales team but they have not replied to my emails or returned my calls.

The installation was fine and the roller shutter worked for a couple of years, but then broke. It took five months to fix this. That is, it took two months for them to finally admit that they have no one who can install, and sent me onto another company for repair, who took another three months. At least it was covered under warranty. Very unhappy with the service and would not recommend to anyone.

I'm giving 5 stars purely for the installation - James was magnificent when he he came to make measurements as well as the installation.Renee the consultant was magnificent too but everything In between was a little disappointing. I had to reschedule twice bc the 1st installer didn't show up and no call.I have 2 more Windows to order and if it wasn't for James the installer and Renee the consultant I probably wouldn't be ordering.My advice works be to hold onto these two staff members

They made a mistake when ordering the parts - so half the blinds were installed - and half weren't. Wasn't impressed because I had to take annual leave for installation. Now having aftercare issues (motorised blinds beeping - apparently I was supposed to have been given a charger). I went thru their website it said I would get a reply in 5 biz days - but no reply. This is the 2nd time I called them and was told Xmas was busy period etc - so they will get back to me soon. The actual product is fine.

Has this company gone bust? None of their numbers work - I have issues with what was installed and it is within the 10 year warranty and I can’t find anyway to contact them

The only aspect about this company that went to plan was the consultation appointment to take the order. From then onwards downwards & buried. Absolutely useless with delivery times, customer service & follow up with such poor installation workmanship is purely non existent. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. No doubt there are an abundant of reputable companies for blind sales and installation. Not BLOCKOUT BLINDS!!!!

I suspect this company may have gone bust… we have been calling and emailing for 3 weeks with no response, from several different addresses including their web link. We paid for a service that hasn’t happened. Awaiting our money back and repair to be undertaken. I hope they weren’t still trading whilst in trouble!

I don’t like giving bad reviews but this company is really bad. They rescheduled my first appointment 3 times and then the consultant didn’t turn up. They then tried to fix it by sending their senior consultant (he was nice) and to make sure everything went smoothly they even organised a second measure. At this stage they were going ok...however after waiting 9 weeks I hadn’t heard anything so I called and found out my order hadn’t been placed! They then rushed it through. They called to book the install but once again cancelled my appointment. They then rescheduled and once again the installer didn’t turn up. I’m now trying to call their office which is meant to open at 9am and the out of office recording is playing (it’s 9:30). Do yourself a favour and find a more professional company.

The measurements didnt take long but boy oh boy the installatin took months. Lots of excuses, wrong measurements that took 6 months to fix.We now have a roller blind that litterally fell of the mounting as the screws were too small for the frame. TRYING TO CONTACT BUT NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE OT REPLIES OUR EMAILS.So annoying as the blinds were not cheap.I would say there service was disgraceful and still is if they till operating.
