Rang up looking for a radiator for our family car he had one in stock plus new radiator cap and for a very reasonable price have used in the past and will use again

In August 2018 I thought all I needed was a re-gas, but Peter did some extensive checking and found a number of issues that basically needed the replacement of just about the entire system. That was $1700 worth, which I thought was a pretty fair price. I like getting the job done properly.Now in February I found that the air wasn't as cool as I thought it should be and Melvin asked me to bring the car in for a check. It was found that there was a small pipe that had a tiny split in it, and causing the refrigerant gas to escape.Pipe was replaced, re-gassed and all within 2 hours at no cost. Could not ask for a better service. It's no fluke that if you treat people with respect that you get the same in return. I found the service to be exceptional. Thanks guys. You have got my vote.

Had my colorado brought in to have a new aircon compressor installed. Once i picked the car up i noticed a very loud noise at any level of acceleration and went directly back to the shops to show them the noise i was told they had re - oiled my clutch fan without even contacting me and that within 5000km it would quieten down. 6 months and 8000km later my family car still sounds like i transplated a kenworth motor in it the clutch fan has not gotten any quieter and is basically locked after idle. I dont live in cairns hence why i took it back as soon as i noticed and after paying nearly $2000 having it repaired i didnt expect my car to sound like a 747 airplane taking off. I gave it fair amount of time and have contacted them to work through a way to resolve it but they only have one option which was to drive 400km back to their shop and they would try and fix it.I can appreciate them offering to fix it but the simple fact is i dont go their often (cairns) and no attempt was made in anyway to cover the repairs in the city where i live when they done unauthorised work to begin with. I read negative reveiws about this business but still went ahead as it was summer we were on holiday and they could do the job the next day.28/10/21 the fan never had an issue as it had just came from another mechanicOwner makes false claims in response.Definitely would avoid this dodgy shop

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. DODGY MECHANIC RIGHT HERE. Asked for quote for repairs to my car ac. Was told that everything needed to be replaced and will cost over $3000, we declined. When we went back to pick up my car, the guy told my partner not to show the quote to anyone, because other mechanics don’t do as ‘comprehensive work’. Took the car to another ac mechanic and my radiator just needed to be refilled. No charge. I’m still enjoying icy aircon 2 years later and hope no one else goes to this rip-off merchant.Response to owners threats : my names is not Georgia. You said it was because there was leaf litter in the compressor which caused a burn out. The issue was the radiator (which you’re also meant to be an “expert” in). Oh and threatening customers because they warn the public about your dodgy work? Wow you guys give mechanics a bad name!These guys are belligerent and future complaints are probably best directed to the office of fair trading for formal investigation as this is clearly their business model.Edit: this review is for Cairns shop. There is a disturbing amount of similar reviews for these guys.

They did the car Aircon in about 3 hours

We had overheating issues on our way home from Cape York and took the car in to Peter for an assessment. He was very quick and professional with his diagnostic of the car and made an effort to fit us in for maintenance as soon as possible. He also provided a detailed explanation of what was wrong, how he was going to fix it and kept us up to date with the repair which we appreciated. The repair took slightly longer than expected but we were still only charged the original quote and Melvin even hung around to make sure we could collect it the same day. Everyone we dealt with was friendly, professional and knowledgeable and I can definitely recommend Peter, Melvin and the rest of the team.

Absolutely abhorrent, be prepared to be ripped off. Got a $1800 quote stating my components were leaking massively. Got upset when I questioned how they come to this conclusion. Got a 2nd opinion for a $100 repair and NOT as suggested by these rip off merchants.. Can't believe small business operating this way.

Googled repairs for car air con and this company came up. After reading the reviews and being new to Cairns we set out to find Ryans. We were extremely impressed with the very detailed estimate provided by Peter, not only for the air con but also a full service. Had air con done and a engine service. When we picked up the car Peter had detailed further work that needed to be done to have car in tip top condition. He also provided us with photos showing us what was required.Peter's customer service is outstanding, very thorough and value for money. I would recommend this company without hesitation

RIP OFF..Went here 2years ago , car was overheating, they gave me a quote of $900+ to replace radiator, thermostat and hoses saying it was all old and no good ,but the day before i took it there I already replaced thermostat and hoses, so I went somewhere else for a second opinion only to find out it was only a faulty temp gauge. 2years later RADIATOR is still good as GOLD!...THIS PLACE HAS TO BE IN THE TOP 3 RIP OFF PLACES IN CAIRNS

Peter and his team were great. He called me back on a Sunday and booked our car in for first thing Monday as we were passing through. Fixed our ac quickly and reasonable price. Very happy to strongly recommend.
