Richard Rose Bass Tuition

Richard taught my teenage son bass guitar. I was impressed by how quickly my son advanced. Richard has a beautiful temperament and clearly has a very musical soul that rubs off onto students. I have been a musician for 30 years and I highly recommend him for musicians at any level.

Richard was a terrific teacher, very patient and encouraging. I was a total beginner and he explained everything really well- he tailored the lessons to my taste in music and researched obscure songs that I wanted to learn. Highly recommend him as a guitar teacher!

Mr Rose has been tuiting my son Ryan double bass at Beaconhills College Berwick for a while & we were sad to see him leaving recently. Mr Rose is so patient, kind & thoughtful. I started off with Mr. Rose’s bass lessons when I was 11 years old, I’m 20 years old now and I still play bass several hours a day. He teaches you more than just the instrument, he teaches you to love the intricacies of music and the subtle power the bass holds in a mix. His lessons are highly catered to your needs, mixing between sight reading, learning music by ear, or, my personal favorite, just straight up jamming to a beat. With his wide repertoire of music taste (from the super tight, punchy bass lines of Vulfpeck, to the absolutely dirty, head banging riffs from Rage Against The Machine) Richard Rose’s bass lessons are for sure guaranteed to inspire passion in the next generation of bass players.
