Joanne Flowers

This is a bit of a convoluted situation,but hope it can be understood. I was contacted by Kathy on the 21/2/23 to advise that the order I had placed with an intermediary company (Bloomex) had the incorrect delivery date. Therefore, the flowers (for a funeral service) were delivered a day late! Although certainly not Joanne Flowers fault in any way, Kathy insisted upon delivering an entirely new arrangement of flowers to the family home the following day as she stated that the original order delivered to the crematorium on the incorrect date (again, not Joanne Flowers fault) would not be acceptable to her as they had been in the courier van for 90 mins in warm weather. True to her word, a stunning arrangement was duly delivered on the 22nd. I am extremely grateful for the honesty of this company and the incredible customer service skills to fix another (far inferior) company's error. Will most certainly be using Joanne Flowers for any further requirements in Canberra.

I receive a wilted bouquet from “Joanne Flowers” today, consisting of flowers that were shredded (not cut) for at least a week. When enquiring I received a very defensive, unapologetic response about the low value of the entire order. Albeit grateful, I feel very sorry for the person who spent their money on an flower arrangement from this floristry. They would’ve been better off buying flowers from a supermarket.

I gave a one-star rating because it’s the only way I could register a review. The rating is far too generous. I could not have been more disappointed with the service, or lack thereof, provided by Joanne Flowers. They’re in the business under false pretences as the owner is not fit to be in the business she is in. I phoned to enquire about flowers for my Aunt’s funeral on the Wednesday before a Monday funeral service and made sure that they could make the delivery on time for a 9am service to the Crematorium. I was assured that they could do it. Based on what I was told, I placed the order, BIG mistake. Even the girl who took my order wasn’t taking in what I was ordering because she gave me a lower price than the one advertised on their website and only got it right when I corrected her. I wanted to make sure she hot my order right. I arrived at the Crematorium at about 8:15am just as the hearse arrived. At 8:45am, the flowers I ordered were not visible to me near the casket after it had been placed in the chapel ready for the service so I enquired with the staff at the Crematorium and was told that they hadn’t been delivered as yet. As the start of the service was approaching, I decided to phone Joanne Flowers who told me that they had been delivered on Saturday to the Funeral Director. I then gave the phone to the hearse driver to talk to the florist to find out what happened to my order. The driver contacted his office and apologised for the mixup and he then made arrangements to have the flowers brought to the service and apologised again when he told me that they would arrive a few minutes after the service started. It was good enough for the hearse driver to apologise to me twice when the responsibility was with Joanne Flowers to fulfil their agreement. When I phoned Joanne Flowers the next day to speak to the owner, I received NO apology, but a barrage of excuses and blaming the funeral director’s staff for the mix up. This business is totally unprofessional and are reluctant to accept responsibility for their failures. They made different arrangements for the delivery to that which I arranged with them without letting me know. As a matter of courtesy they should have notified me because if I had known that the flowers were to be delivered by the funeral director, I would have started making enquires much earlier and the wreath would have been delivered well before the service started and saved me the embarrassment. They have shown no empathy nor sympathy during my time of grief. Not the sort of people to deal with.

Even given 1 star is pretty generous... On Saturday I ordered a bunch of flowers to be delivered to my friend at hospital. The driver did leave by then so it was scheduled for Monday.... As I didn't hear from my friend, I asked her and she didn't receive anything at all. I called the shop on Tuesday and the lady answering the phone, Joanne, was far from kind. The rudest customer attention ever. She was rude, just saying that they didn't deliver anything on Saturday to that hospital, when I told her that it was scheduled for Monday, she just said that they didn't. Wrong shop and hung up. I tried her again, and said that I was on the shop and a middle-age lady took my order. She just said that that lady just start at 10.30 am and that I can give a call at that time. Really!? What kind of customer service is that that you are to keep calling them? She would benefit from some 'how to treat customers' quick course to know how to answer calls with kindness. I won't never ever buy anything there.

I received great service from the ladies at Joannes and left with the most gorgeous bouquet of flowers. The shop is cheery and vibrant, and the quality of the flowers are exceptional.I will definitely return!Thanks again!

Absolutely wonderful florist! The staff are so helpful and give me exactly what I want every time. The flowers are beautiful and constructed for every occasion. Couldn't recommend any higher!!

Highly recommend! I've seen some of the larger jobs they've done and they never fail to impress! I loved the bouquet that I received, especially considering how efficient they were. If your looking for flowers and at a good price I highly recommend.
