I have been going here for years travelling from Benowa to Northern Rivers and always buying fresh fish, cooked fish, sea scallops and potato scallops plus pineapple fritters plus drinks. Today my scallops 8 of them were just a mess. Stuck to paper and falling apart very disappointed at the mess like you don't care anymore. My pineapple fritters were crumbed not battered as asked and burnt dark brown. We have a lot of fish shops we have tried but always come back to you spending $50 to $70 a time. It's a shame to lose that twice a week.

1* per criteria- Service: Young local team always on hand to assist the many customers dining in or taking away.- Quality/Taste: Everything was fresh, cooked well and seasoned just right!- Price: The snapper fish burger meal, with a salad substituted for the drink, $16.50.- Atmosphere: Typical Gold Coast - chilled and relaxed.Overall: A no-faults local fish & chips shop, where the seafood is actually fresh, tasty, and reasonably priced. Solid 4*

Normally the food is good at Fishmongers for fish & chip style cuisine. Unfortunately on this occasional my wife and I were a tad disappointed, normally on the gold coast the calamari is great and not at all chewy, unfortunately they didn't remove that thin film on the squid that makes calamari stringy and chewy, end up eating 3 of the 12 we purchased and threw out the rest. A little bit more care when preparing the calamari would have made a world of difference.

This is our favourite spot for fish n chips when we come to Burleigh. It’s usually a reasonable wait time, even during the sunny weekend days of the summer. Today we waited 20 minutes for lunch and we had a large order too. The fish is super fresh, I love getting barramundi. The chips are really good too. Been here a few times and it’s always top notch. The servings are considerable in size too.

I'm not much of a fish person, but I seem to always hear here for fish and chips after a great day at the beach. It's walking distance from the famous Burleigh beach and sits on the popular James Street.

Super soggy battered fish. Went for the dory and it was a good portion but left most as the batter was terrible. The salmon special was excellent! The salads also pretty good which is why a 4 star and not a two star. Normally there battered fish here is good but today was disgusting.

A pleasant 15min walk from my mum's at Penguin Parade, its the best Fish & Chips shop I have.Cod and snapper is the best of the lot, & their chips are amazing!Enjoyed the sit in & eat... comfortable.
