Briars Wildlife Sanctuary
Nature reserve with some nice walking tracks. There two, one is 1.8km, the other 4km. Both are pretty hilly too. There's lots of wildlife around, saw an echidna and a lyrebird on our walk. Also has an old homestead on site with farm animals.

Beautiful for a walk through the bush. Today I saw an echidna, emus, wallabies and lots of birds. A number of different walks. Had a curious wallaby come right up to us which was a unique experience.

Briars Wildlife Sanctuary
Nice wildlife reserve and many magnificent old trees but it requires lucks for tourist to see the animals inside. It takes 30 mins for a brief walk and much longer time to walk through the route. More suitable for locals than to tourists from other area.

A well kept secret in Mount Martha that allows you to be one with nature, without actually disturbing the natural wonders. A wonderful raised walkway allows for a great 3 or more km walk in an almost undisturbed reserve. I found myself stopping quite often to not only watch the animals, but to ensure that they were not too scared by my presence. I cannot wait to go back time and time again.Do not forget to go to the main office where you will find historical information as well as talk to some of the nicest people in Australia!

A nice rather short sanctuary walk through either a wetlands or a longer one over the hills. Very pleasant
