U-HAUL AUSTRALIA TRAILER HIRE (inside FNQ Trailers)

I prefer to generally only provide positive reviews and leave the negative ones (consider them a once off). However, the experience I have had with U-Haul has resulted in a huge impact on my life costing me upwards of $70,000.We pre-booked a trailer and checked a couple days later to ensure the booking was still okay to go ahead prior to purchasing a vehicle to tow our broken down vehicle home or to a storage location closer to home thanks to covid resulting in closed borders.On the day we took delivery of the car and went to pick up the booked trailer, they informed me that they were not able to fulfill the booking and that U-Haul were supposed to contact me to let me know of this situation some days ago.I was then stuck with a car I did not need only purchased to tow our vehicle home. I then had to hire a tow truck to tow the vehicle south to a storage facility in the interim period costing me a further $800.When I wrote to U-Haul to inform them of the situation after arriving home, they simply brushed me off in response and simply said 'sorry about that'. The person responding didn't even have the decency of supplying their name. simply sign off as 'KK'.The stress and financial impact this has had on us is huge, this company has zero morals and showed no due diligence despite our double checking the booking prior to taking final delivery of the vehicle. I wish I had read reviews before hand so I knew who I was dealing with, the reviews seem to speak for themselves, nothing but bad reviews pretty much.Do ANYTHING you can to avoid using these people and their trailers, they possess zero car, respect or empathy for their customers. its not their business.
