Kangaroo Country Caravan Park

What a lovely place. The owner is friendly and helpful. The cabin we had was clean and neat. All we needed. Shower very hot just a little spurty (maybe the shower head needs adjusting ) we were able to bring our puppy along although she stayed outside in our car (allowed to bring inside but chose not to). The birds in the aviaries are so lovely and it was nice to wake up to their songs. We slept well knowing we were on the road home. Yes you can hear the trains and highway traffic but what do you expect when you choose a place on the highway ? Be realistic with your comment about traffic noise. We will definitely come back because the cabins and surrounding are perfect and very economically priced. Thank you Glenn. Trish and Derek.

This is a fantastic PET FRIENDLY Caravan Park, that you can even have your pets inside your Cabin for a small fee. located about 10km south of Rockhampton Central Queensland on the Bruce Highway (A1). Set on 20 acres of bushland setting and the Park is on 5 acres of landscaped gardens. This park has an abundance of bird wild life, that come in for daily feeding. Also they have a large bird Avery, with a variety of different birds. I loved Albert the talking cockatoo, he is a real character mimicking dogs barking, babies crying, people laughing and says a variety of words. The park has a selection of Cabins styles starting from $80 for a Non Ensuited Cabin right up to $140 for a Super Deluxe 2 Bedroom Cabin with Full Kitchen, Double Sofa Bed & large 55 inch Full HD LED TV which would rival any 4 star motel in the city.

Very convenient stop-over when you are on the road. Clean and comfortable basic huts.. good shower and beds. You can park right next to the steps into the hut. There's grass and trees, and a shady BBQ area. Could even be pleasant for a short break from traveling. Obliging owner. Freight trains can be a bit noisy, but overall recommended.

On the highway lots of trucks and trains going all night. But the park itself was clean and staff were very helpful.

Out of town but plenty of room for tandem trailer

Small caravan park almost at Rockhampton at Midgee. Reasonably priced units. .I paid $60 for the budget room..great value. ..shared toilet and shower full of flying insects as someone had left light on..room was well equipped with TV stove jug and coffee. .Handy location with great sunrise. .

Super friendly, super value, and so welcoming for pets (not easy to find!!) A hidden gem, we will always stay here on our way to/from Brisbane and FNQ. It's pretty quiet and peaceful, ideal for a stop for the night.

We have been here 3 times and really like it. Cabins are comfortable and surprisingly quiet at night. Great for an overnight stay or even a week. And they let you have your dog in your cabin. We will be back.We've been coming to this caravan park for 7 years now. Really like the place, my only issue is that they need to upgrade the T.V's in the cabins, they are very old and can't show half the free to air channels due to their age and lack of high definition. Plus they are probably using heaps of electricity as well.
