Really happy with the food and prices were standard as expected without gouging. Caught the tail end of the sunset which looked amazing so keen to come back earlier on a nice night for sunset drinks. Not sure why they differentiate between the manta ray restaurant and the beer garden bistro" as they have the same menu and pricing and are literally next to each other only separated by a glass pool fence. Only thing diff we could see was you could book manta ray.Lively place with friendly crowd and lots of wedding

Not only the services are poor. Service staff has bad attitude. The steak that we ordered were not fresh (with a bed smell). end up leaving the whole steak un-eaten. Rather go to the local fish and chip shop has a better meal and experience. This place needs a total cleanup.

I had dinner here on Saturday night and the food was unimpressive. I paid $48 for the Moreton Bay Bug special and it was bland tasting and rubbery. I wish I could have asked for my money back. My partner had the seafood pasta which was also low quality. We thought the seafood would be cooked well since we were on an island. We were told there was no room in the restaurant area so we sat at the outside tables which had pretty much no light so we couldn't see our other guests. We could see a lot of available tables in the restaurant. I usually don't complain but I had to make an exception with all this because we are Stradbroke regulars and the quality of this place should be better.

Lunch with a spectacular view, incredible. We had pizza and Moreton Bay bugs. Chips were nice, the sourdough with oil and dukkah exceptional.Book in advance or head in early before lunch to get a great table

Great location for a pub, staff all friendly & helpful. But seriously when ‘dinning’ in the bistro they could make a killing if they did table service. With all the staff walking around it’s a shame to pay good money & sit in the restaurant area then to be given a beeper, then collect your food, then walk over to the bar to get drinks. Like seriously what are you paying the staff for? It’s not Macca’s. Plus the food is average at best. Save your money & go to the straddie brewery where they actually want your business

Bistro food is frankly appalling. Sirloin and rump could be described as small, cooked not to order, tough, fatty and gristly. Simply inedible for the kids so we’ve ordered them nachos instead. At $40 plus per plate the steaks are a loser. WIR ? Other than to sample the view and have a drink nope ! On a long weekend they aren’t even full and that says a lot. Avoid avoid avoi. Kids ended up handing back their steaks with no comment from the waiter other than to agree the food was rubbish. We finished up having nachos and chips for dinner. Even funnier when in the line ordering the nachos was listening to the conversation by some random seemingly drunk apparently off duty staff member having a conversation with the counter person about how much they hated working in hospitality. Either the management of the hotel are asleep at the wheel or the owners are or both. Other recent reviews seem consistent. Such a shame for an iconic location.

My recent experience at Straddie Beach Hotel was quite disappointing. Despite being a popular spot for tourists, the restaurant failed to live up to even the most basic expectations of quality service and food.To begin with, the wait time for our food was exceptionally long. It seemed as though there was a lack of staff, which was particularly frustrating given the fact that we visited on a public holiday when there was a significant influx of tourists. This resulted in a lack of attention from the staff and an overall poor dining experience. Moreover, the food itself was nothing to write home about. It was ordinary at best and did not meet the standards one would expect from a restaurant in this location. In fact, I found it quite disappointing given the reputation of the establishment. To make matters worse, we were charged an extra surcharge for the public holiday, which seemed unjustified given the lack of effort put into ensuring a positive experience for guests. It is unacceptable for a restaurant to add an extra charge without providing the appropriate level of service to justify it.Overall, I would not recommend Straddie Beach Hotel as a dining destination. The lack of attentive service, poor quality food, and unjustified surcharges make it a poor choice for anyone looking for a quality dining experience.

We've eaten here a few times and I think this last time will be the last time". It's not bad but average is a compliment. The view is magnificent and it's handy to walk to from local beaches. But being one of the only bar/restaurants around means that it can get very busy and have a "mixed crowd". There was a rowdy bunch of blokes enjoying a stag do that were calling out obnoxious stuff to passers by and by contrast a large group of people dressed like they were going to a wedding or birthday party. So while it caters to everyone

Great pub with fabulous coastal style, friendly and helpful staff, and live music.Good food choices for all dietary requirements and best lemon, lime and bitters I’ve ever had! Went for dinner on a Friday night and enjoyed everything so much, returned the next day to enjoy great coffee while relaxing with the fantastic view. Next visit will be for lunch and breakfast. Will return again whenever on Straddie.Highly recommend.
