Nice little sports precinct sitting at Tolmans Hill which is above the Southern Outlet heading south out of Hobart. Stumbled across this while out on a trail run one Sunday morning. Its one of those classic sports grounds with Australian native bush around it, the kind you see at Kinglake in Victoria and other rural centres. They create a really Australian feel about them, especially on a warm summer's day watching cricket. The smack of ball hitting bat and the Kookaburra's calling and the Cicada's noisy in the background. Hobart City Council does a great job of maintaining the space. Lovely.
