I recommend the Sunday 19am nature walk.Got a better understanding on how brittle a habitat is to culturalisation by man inevitable in suburbia. But the Forrest is well taken care of and looks wonderfull.

Amazing reserve! Main paths are pram friendly. I visit with my two kids (aged 1-4) regularly. They can run wild and we see different wildlife each time we visit. There are toilets and a playground near the Greenwood Dr entrance.

This is a decent place to see kangaroos around Melbourne but it is not ideal due to the thick vegetation. But this place is still great for a run or hike.

Can take a bus to reach .It is an ideal spot to go for a nature walk, birds and kangaroos. And do not forget to close the gate every time. And the point where you can meet the kangaroo family is the Habitat link track where you can find kangaroos sleeping and eating grass in groups.

This reserve is perfect for a weekend bushwalk. Lots of greenery, chirping birds & a walk in the woods made it a very calming experience. The kids loved it as well. One thing to note for those with prams. You can't take the pram through the tiny entrance but can pass it over the gate.

I went for a few hours only to see kangaroos and I could see a few of them. I can't believe that you can see them free in a park in the middle of a city. That so good!

A fenced, environmentally protected nature park with gravel and unsealed pathways through the forest. If you are lucky, and at certain times of the day, you may spot a kangaroo or even a family of roos in this forest. In the centre of the forest is a large pond full of thick reeds and frogs, that you can hear in warmer weather. There are no plastic playgrounds here, although kids can play here and get back to nature. This is paradise to bird lovers, with kookaburras, tawny frogmouths, rosellas, that you can see walking in the forest. There are only 3 park benches in the entire forest but you can find other natural rest areas on fallen tree trunks if you need. The forest can also get muddy with puddles in some areas after heavy rain.
