Extremely disappointed. $60 for 2 alcoholic drinks and toasted sandwiches with frozen chips. My husband couldn't even eat his sandwich as the bread was just soggy. Big difference from when we had lunch there in February. Certainly won't be going again. No wonder the place was empty and another couple took one look at the menu, made an excuse and left. Disgusted.

Top notch food and coffee. Obviously these people take pride and put love into what they do. So refreshing after the constant disappointment of eating the usual sh.thouse mediocre Hervey Bay fare back home. Quality ingredients, delicious food, excellent presentation, friendly service and very cool location. I miss the Sunshine Coast so much - not just because of the scenery, but because of places like this.

Lovely place with friendly staff, just a little disappointed with my meal.. The pork belly was very chewy and over cooked, salad was nice. Granddaughter's nuggets and chips pretty average, daughters toasted rosemary ham sandwich was really nice..

Wow, just WOW! I've driven past the place so many times and to be honest, it didn't really appeal to me as a road side cafe.I was a bit early this morning and thought I would pop in for a coffee.What an absolutely beautiful interior, so tastefully decorated it is definitely the most impressive cafe I have seen after a career of nearly 20 years in the industry.Stunning place, great service and awesome coffee, can't wait to come back for breakfast one morning and think I will do a lovely brunch for my birthday in their private dining room...

BEST COFFEE IN PALMWOODS!I've been staying here a few days and couldn't find a good coffee until I dropped in here.It has a little gift shop attached, a wine bar and restaurant and a quaint space outside so that you'd think you were waiting for a train to roll in as you eat!From what I could see there were quite a few reserved tables, so obviously it's popular and you need to make a reservation.I'll be back to try out the food!Oh! And plenty of parking available!

The Shed was lovely at Forest Glen and has gone to another level and gained local icon status almost immediately at Palmwoods.The transformation of the old rail yard shed into an Antique Store and Restaurant, the Chew Chew Cafe, takes you back to yesteryear for a short but exquisite while.The food and Coffee are delicious and the staff are very attentive and helpful.A Truly nice experience and a great place to take out of town guests, or for locals to meet with friends and enjoy and support genuine local hospitality.

The Shed looks like a refurbished train station with exposed beams and quirky details like the existing graffiti on the exterior Platform" seating.Replica modern lights and signs have been installed to create old world charm.Clearly under stress and under staffed the service was honest and friendly but embarrassingly slow. Coffee is average and mainstream not strong or distinctive in character. Our beverages were delivered without teaspoons that never arrived even after enquiring.They offer a 'Bistro' menu with mainstream cafe offerings at mid range prices.Located on the current train line you'll experience front row train watching and noise.This venue has new and old decor and homewares for sale

Loving the new menu. We will visit every few weeks as we live locally, the coffee is always fabulous, the food is delicious and fresh, and the staff always have a smile. You are greeted as soon as you walk in the door and feel the lovely electric energy of the small family run business. A fabulous cafe!
