Cubitt’s Granny Flats and Home Extensions

Cubitts have just completed all the above work plus more in building an upper floor granny flat for us on our son and wife's single story home, including concreting of new carport floor.They are the most supportive and professional contractors I have ever employed. From their on-site supervisor to all others who worked on site, everyone was co-operative, nothing seemed to be too much trouble, any alterations we wanted were carried out quickly and well.The job was completed 2 months before contract date, and we are very happy with the end result. We would happily recommend Cubitts to anyone considering this option!

We are very happy with all the internal finishes and appliances in our new home. We have had problems with aspects of the exterior and would have appreciated someone other than the sales person going over every detail of the plans. Matt, our site supervisor, was very helpful and efficient at handling our queries during the build. We also were grateful that the complicated council approval process was handled by Cubitts.

From the moment we first walked into the office at Emu Plains and met Sales Consultant Daniel, until our extension was complete, they have provided nothing but a first-rate customer service. Communication was excellent, with a weekly update provided as to the work to be carried out in the following week. The tradesmen showed up on time as scheduled, did high quality work, they were very professional, hardworking and friendly. Good communication, but not what we were looking for. They do not supply granny flats for owner builders, they supply & build to completion.

This is the best organised company I have ever dealt with and I wholeheartedly recommend them if you are looking to build a granny flat or extension. Their prices were very competitive but what is even more important is the quality of the build and the customer service they gave us. All of the employees we dealt with were very professional but also very friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. They gave us a schedule each Friday for the work to be done the following week so we knew when to move cars out of our driveway. Any communication we sent them was answered that day. And this part is hard to believe but it is true - the TRADESMEN TURNED UP when they were supposed to! The company has a site manager called Simon and he was excellent. He made a huge difference because he visited regularly to check on both the quality and the progress of our build. Long story short, our extension is fantastic and we couldn’t be happier. If you are looking to build a granny flat or extension make sure you get a quote from Ian Cubitt’s and I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed if you choose to go with them.

We have recently built a granny flat with Ian Cubitt's and cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, which totalled 9 weeks, all personnel were professional, polite and accommodating. The site manager, Rodney Bracewell, was frequently in contact with me via email, updating me on each stage of the build. The quality of the workmanship was excellent.

The Cubitt's team did a wonderful job with our extension and renovation. The cost that was quoted stayed the same, no hidden or unknown costs. The work was finished earlier than planned. The workmen overall were excellent in terms of workmanship and they were very friendly, polite and mostly cleaned up well after they finished their work.The project manager gave weekly updates of what was planned and what had been completed and the plans stayed on track, with some minor glitches that were readily rectified. We are really happy with the finished product and would highly recommend their services.

We had a very good experience building a granny flat with Ian Cubbits and are happy with the finished product. The staff were professional, the approvals process was fast and we were kept well informed throughout. Our site manager, Darren, was great to deal with and incredibly responsive to all of our requests both during and after construction. We also asked Ian Cubbits to aim to complete the granny flat a couple of weeks prior to the scheduled completion date as we were expecting a baby around the time of the completion date - our granny flat was completed a month ahead of schedule which was greatly appreciated especially given our baby came early!
