Lovely area with a nice lake. There is a public viewing area on the east side of the dam with parking, if you want to look around.

I only have it a four rating as I love to swim, but the lake had green algae around the edges. The camping area is great. Full facilities and a kids play area, as well as a dock and boat ramp. Boating and water skiing is popular on the lake. There is both a formal camping area, with facilities and pre booked spots, or a free camping area for those who like to rough it.

Stopped here for a few minutes while they were doing roadworks. Really a scenic spot in a beautiful valley and nicely full lake.

Based on views alone, it was mildly impressive really considering the surprise value of a structure like this in an unexpected location. To properly enjoy it, you have to enter through a boom gate, after paying an $8 fee - I didn't.

good country drive, got to take advantage of lookouts on the way, pity roads were full of holes though so gotta take care of road conditions.
