I have had a bad back now for a number of years and the pain and tightness that started in my lower back have since spread up through to my upper back, into my shoulders, down through my arms and up into my neck. To the point of experiencing numbness in my arms when I sleep.I have seen a number of physios, chiropractors, osteopaths and have even tried acupuncture but without any real change.Through remedial massage, Rupert looks at the relationship you have with your body and its relationship with gravity and the earth. I've been seeing Rupert for around 5 months, after he was recommended to me by another health professional.I work around 9-11 hours a day in an office and have had poor posture for most of my life that I'd never bothered addressing. I wasn't too sure how much of a difference getting a massage every two to three weeks would make -- it's not a simple issue and I know I have to make a number of changes myself -- but each time I've seen Rupert I've felt so much better. I feel completely stretched out and opened up. I also feel I stand much taller and straighter for the following few days after a massage.What I like is Rupert's holistic approach -- he gives you advice as to appropriate exercises that complement his treatments. He also doesn't whack a whole lot of massage oil onto your back like some other massage therapists, which I find gross and doesn't help the massage!I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rupert to anyone.
