Creative Playground Education

My boys in Yr 2 and Yr 5 have enjoyed the 3 Brick Retreats they have attended thus far. We stumbled on it by chance one day and the full day program running from 9am to 3pm during the school holidays seemed like a great idea to have a play, learn something new and make some friends.Initially I had thought it would be a once off thing to entertain my kids but after the first Brick Retreat they did (Mission Moon) they came home and raved and asked if I can quickly sign them up again to do another (George Ferris and Fun Rides) running the next day. It quickly became apparent that Angela's courses are so well prepared and executed the kids are just captivated. My kids have asked me to watch out for the holidays Brick Retreats to make sure we can book in again and yesterday's Click Splash Yum was yet another notch up. No kid can possibly be unhappy about building a functional milkshake maker with Lego and then making and drinking their milkshake made with it. Angela even offered different milk type choices and flavours. I am just impressed with the detail of her work.Thanks Angela. Keep up the fantastic Brick Retreat content. Themes are always so interesting and engaging. You will see us again I am certain.

If your looking for something extracurricular which is lots of fun, supports fine motor skills, spatial skills, social interactions with others who like Lego while also learning STEM check out Young Engineers.For my son Young Engineers has been fantastic. Not only is he getting to play with Lego which is way more interesting that what he has at home (nothing beats other people’s toys), he is also with other kids who want to play with Lego. Even better he is getting to play with Lego which has interactive features. Built a windmill, yeah! Build a car and race it - his dream!For me Young Engineers has been extremely professional and exceptional in keeping me up to date with what is happening in the class room through ClassDojo (photos and descriptions of the lesson objectives, outcomes and theory’s applied). My son, who often doesn’t talk about his day and what he learnt will share, for example last week that they made a car using potential and kinetic energy! Using The ClassDojo content I can continue the conversation with him and look at the creations they all made that day.

Angela is a wonderful engineer and educator! Both of my sons in Y1 and Y5 always enjoy her class and very fond of her.Her lesson never disapoints you, and the ideas and the concepts my sons learn in the class give them some good clues of mechanism to make their own LEGO at home.

My son enjoyed it thoroughly. It was a well organised workshop and a good learning experience.

My 8yo spent a wonderful day with Angela last week. His buddy couldn't attend due to a cold, and he was a bit inclined to pull out - until he saw what he would be doing, and Angela didn't disappoint! Plenty of Lego fun, some good outdoors running around and lots and lots of photos for parents afterwards so we could enjoy too - thank you so much for a caring, stimulating and fun environment for the bigger kids.

It is always a challenge when we look for educational activities for our kids. It was because of the creative voucher that I found Creative Playground when I saw robotics as one of the classes where we can use the voucher I immediately booked. Went in for the first class and my son immediately loved it. From day 1 up to the retreat, it was always fun for him. He is always excited about the new things they have created. Every session is always challenging and makes him look forward to the next session. Thanks Angela and team for being accommodating and always making it exciting for the kids. - Myla T.

Angela is a wonderful teacher and designs the courses to be fun and enjoyable for all ages. My daughter had a wonderful time over the 2 days learning and creating new things and only had positive things to say. Would recommend creative playground for all kids.

We love the classes! Our son always come home sharing his experience with excitement. Without fail, after every session he’d come home apply his knowledge and build something new from scratch. From these construction we can see how much he has progressed and how much he has learnt from Angela’s classes!In my son’s own words “I love Angela’s lesson…. when we were building things…I was thinking how great that I’m building real tools like you know I am actually building something that can be used in real life… I love it!”

My son Cooper has really enjoyed Young Engineers. It would be good however, to get personal feedback on Cooper at least a couple of times during the term.- how much he has readily participated- how much guidance he has needed with each construction- what areas of the school curriculum are being covered with this topic- regular weekly feedback on the younger class class through the app,

Our daugther absolutely loved the classes at Creative Playground. They are age appropriate, engaging and most important of all, fun! I could tell because after the classes with Angela, whether it was in school or in the holiday camps, my daughter cant seem to hide her excitement about the STEM concepts she had learnt that day and will give me a mini lesson when she gets home. Angela and her team were organised, easy to commicate with and knowledgable. We will definitely be joining their classes in the future!
