Used Neil's service for years and would highly recommend him. He has fixed leaking gas stoves, replaced toilets and broken pipe in the kitchen. Always friendly, happy to answer questions, & professional.

I had the misfortune of dealing with these guys several years ago. Judging by some of the comments below they must have really lifted their game since then. Or, the unthinkable, some fake reviews were posted (surely not!). They reckon past behaviour is a predictor of future behaviour, so I'll let you be the judge.These plumbers were hired by a company that were doing some renovations for me. The plumber came in with a sour, disinterested look on his face, as if he would rather be anywhere else. For the first 15 minutes or so, the plumber and the builder were negotiating between themselves about a project that the builder wanted the plumber to do at his house. After these pleasantries, the plumber gives me a quote for the extra work I wanted done and then waves an Application for Credit form in front of me and tells me to sign for payment for the work. Stupidly, I sign, not wanting to hold things up since I had taken time off work for the renovations. What I realised, when I read the fine print, that I was effectively a debtor to the company. This meant that if I held up payment for any reason (say shoddy, incomplete work - more on that later), the plumber would have powers as a creditor to put the thumbscrews on me.So they commence their work and as they are getting towards the end, I take a look at what they'd done. The toilet was missing the plastic cover between the cistern and the bowl and all of the pipes were exposed. The cistern itself was sitting way lower than normal. I asked the plumber about it and he got angry saying that because it was a ceramic cistern he couldn't put it at the right height without cutting through the wall and installing a support. This would mean extra work for him and he wasn't up for that. So he decided, after having bitten off more than he could chew, the prudent thing to do was a third rate job and hope I wouldn't notice.So I leave him to his work, while my blood goes from a gentle simmer to a rolling boil. I know at this stage, I'm screwed because I signed that Application for Credit. Once he's finished, he proudly shows me all of his handiwork. He opens up the cistern of the newly installed toilet, and sitting inside, underwater is one of his screwdrivers. It's a good thing he's not a surgeon, otherwise he'd be sewing up his patients with the scalpel still inside. I ask him what happened to the plastic cover between the cistern and bowl - he had thrown it in the bin. I get him to fish it out because I decided to get a more ethical plumber to fix up his botched job later on. I pay because I don't want to go to Debtors' jail and I want him out of my house. I look over the work he's done and he's left No Cracks Plumbing" stickers everywhere. I rip them off in disgust.Some time later
