I've been applying for work through work pac for years and the only thing that came from it was a skidsteer and wheel loader ticket that I've never used

They do nothing for greenskins and people with experience. I'll get a job out the mines before they get me one the way they work. Useless..

During the mining downturn I took a role with Workpac. Worst experience of my life, do consider all other options first

Completed an 18mth contract with no hiccups or problems with their client. WorkPac specifically told me there was further positions they had with other roles they had coming up. Strangely, 7yrs on and have never been contacted by them at all. Just body hire attitude that just use and discard you. A shame there wasn't lower Star Ratings.

Worst company i ever worked for. As a new to the industry person i was no information given on how to start, where to go, what to do, haven’t received Uniform. Had to travel twice 30km to pick up uniform which wasn’t there.No communication what so ever. No response to emails or anything.My Partner was signed up as well with workpac and they even fired him being a victim to an assault. He spoke up as he had verbal death treats and punches thrown at him but as there was no investigation after a straight up report he hit the blame for something he was almost hurt.This company should not have Duty of care for people because there is none

Stay away from them. Unless you’re desperate or like being exploited.

Thee staff try hard to find a place in the job market for their candidates. They look for job opportunities and help you get started.

So far so good, although they havent found a job for me yet

Every workPac I have dealt with especially Mackay come with the same rubbish you don't have coal experience and the client BHP/BMA send us a letter saying you must have experience. Even though I've got over 5yrs experience in the mining industry in numerous positions & in Underground Dump Trucks. But if your a female with NO experience gaurented a job. WorkPac say thats not true but seen this happen on numerous occasions and have spoken to both female and males that have never worked in miningWith no experience meaning green given jobs with WorkPac. But they tell me I need experience. They are rude and don't really want to help you or care. And seems to the trend with WorkPac and all these recruiting agencies. Then when you complain to there head office about these issues they say an area manager will contact you guess what no one rings you back whatsoever. Just recently got told by a WorPac girl at Dysart Village that BHP owns 80% of WorkPac seems a bit of a conflict of interest to me and you won't get a job unless recommended by someone who works for BMA/BHP. Was a very interesting conversation to say the least.
