Royal Crown Hotel
Tried the brand new menu tonight, food was amazing, hot, fresh and fast, good size meals, the chefs have put alot of time and effort into their new menu, all of the staff were friendly and chatty, great atmosphere. Stone & Wood On Tap! Even the Kids enjoyed their meals, highly recommend trying the Greek Gyros!

Our night started off lovely as we had never been to this hotel and we were seated in what was a really nice dining area. Fast foward approximately 15 minutes and 2 diners who were joining a table very close to us arrived with 2 quite large dogs that proceeded to move around and one was so close he had his butt in my chair and I could smell" him (not pleasant). Hoping the dogs would 'settle" we then resumed our conversation only to be then interupted by Trivia.I then enquired if there was somewhere else to sit so we could not hear the trivia and not be near the dogs and i commented to the waiter "there are 2 dogs" and he said we are dog friendly - to which i replied that i was not.We were able to be moved inside which was perfect for us as we could continue conversing.Then our food arrived

Guys what happened! This place was awesome - for food and a great vibe.Firstly the food was a let down. If you’re vego/vegan don’t bother, menu doesn’t account for it, especially if you don’t like mushroom. The kids fish was peppery. Granted they did bring out a new piece, however added ‘next time just ask the chef not to include pepper’, ON A KIDS FISH! Second what a quiet Friday night too, used to not be able to hear yourself.Anywho, Good beers still, but seems the lights gone out.

Bar staff have no idea what they are doing, we ordered the mussels and they were so tiny half the shells were empty. The chips were disappointing. Such a shame as the hotel looks lovely. There’s plenty of seating inside and outside, but the food experience needs improving and there’s no coffee machine. Sorry guys this was our first visit and you need to try harder!

Had a great meal, plenty to eat and reasonable prices.We had the Chicken Schnitzel and Okonomiyaki which is great, try it you'll like it.

Great little hidden gem of a pub here, service was great as well as the food but the value for money wasn’t there.The business needs to work on a child’s playground now as the current is far from exciting.

Dudley pub, what a place, what a vibe, never have I been somewhere where the staff are so welcoming and accommodating. The crew here have always taken the time to get to know the kids, making them feel welcome and special when we come here for a meal. The food has always been exactly what I hoped for, and the beers are always cold and always changing.As far as a local goes, a man could not hope for more, as far as a destination Pub goes, a blow in would be lucky to land at the Royal crown.10 outta 10

Definitely coming back for dinner, the lunch we had was awesome. Good beer selection and a nice one for a summer session. Dog friendly too!
