Amazing experience!First of all,Victor was our server and was so great and the friendliest waiter I have had in years. Great staff!We came for dinner as a group of 4 and really enjoyed it. The flavours were exploding from each food item and drinks were delicious to match. We especially liked the DAHI PURI, CURED KINGFISH and VADA PAC. the paneer and fish curries were spectacular too.Highly recommend coming here if you want tasty modern Indian and great cocktails and vibe.

Came for Valentine’s day last night and while the food was very delicious, the service was very poor.We waited 2.5 hours for our drinks to come, even after asking politely 2-3 times when they would be coming out. A lot of tables around us left during the set menu because of how much time went by between courses and having no drinks being delivered. While the staff were very friendly, no one could give any answers or was making reparations for the terrible delays. They did give us a full refund on the meal, which was kind, but the communication across the whole night was absurd. Be wary on busy nights of going here, maybe stick to quieter times!

Nice modern approach to Indian food, combined with some Australian classics to create a unique cuisine. Very friendly and catering for allergies was also great.

Ish is modern Indian for the western palette. Situated on Gertrude Street, it’s well worth a visit. Starters were the curried egg bonda (my favourite), dahi puri and duck tacos. There is significant attention to detail and these starters are all one mouthful tapas size. Our broccoli and curried hummus was divine but there isn’t much hummus and when we mentioned this, our waiter explained that the process to make it is rather lengthy. Mains of butter paneer was creamy goodness alongside rice and naan bread. It’s more expensive than your suburban Indian restaurant but it’s a modern twist on things in a trendy setting. Our waiter Vivek was all class and most helpful. Would definitely return.

We had the brunch menu and it’s so nice to have something a bit different for Brunch! The food was amazing and the waiter was so friendly and informative! We’ll definitely be back.

If I could give this restaurant more than five stars I would!! We had the most amazing meal, we got the celebration menu which you can alter to your taste (quite rare these days as a lot of restaurants do not allow this). We kept the majority the same except swapped one of the curries for a spicier one which was great! The service was unreal - didn’t catch her name but she was amazing and so attentive. Best meal I’ve had in a long time, will certainly be coming back!

Absolute disaster for a Valentine’s Day, took us almost 2 hours to wait for 2 dishes only and still not get the third one or dessert. Food is fine, service sucks, they only knows to keep saying sorry from the beginning to the end. We asked them to light the candle for at least 3 times, when we left at 9:20pm still no one helped with it. We really couldn’t wait any longer since we parked the car on the street and it has limitations so we left there with starving belly. Thanks for ruining our Valentine’s dinner.
