Mt Carbine Roadhouse
Very nice family owned Roadhouse, which we dropped into while we were driving from Cairns to Cooktown. We were surprised to see that we found everything we were looking for in the shop - my son got a toothbrush, my husband got sunglasses and a cable for his phone that he really needed, and we also got to pick up some sandwiches, pies, and a nice quiche for lunch. The owners are lovely and very friendly and courteous.

This place is very modern and nicely set out, with most of the things that you would expect from a small roadhouse. The gentleman that served me very helpful .

Pies were nice... crispy and fresh but we only had a choice of two.Signs everywhere that dogs are not allowed to leave the vehicle. Seriously!

Fabulous place to stop. Super super clean and the pies WOW. I haven’t had a pie like that in years. Very friendly and I will absolutely be stopping there again if I get the chance to travel up that way in the future. Highly highly recommended.

Mt Carbine Roadhouse
Well it's a simple but nice little service station, but the home made pies are not nice ,omg they are truly next level delicious. I had the steak and pepper and plain steak, but other flavours to choose from, if you like a good home made pie drop in here, highly recommend and don't worry the sandwich selection is pretty good to. The lady running the show is the cook and lovely and friendly.

Brilliant little gem. Coffee was great & the homemade pie was delish. Great selection of homemade cakes & muffins. Not a single congealed chiko roll or stale chip in this great place. Everything was spotlessly clean.

Very bad experience here.The lady serving refused to serve me. I asked if the sandwiches under the heat light were fresh. She got insulted and responded no, I made them a month ago, of course they are fresh.The place is on a relatively quiet section of highway, was empty and had no customers. The place was up for sale and had huge signs saying NO DOGS ALLOWED.I felt perfectly entitled to ask about the food on display.

Best pie ever tested. I had chickeen leek OMG first bite and I knew that was best I ever had, the pastry to filling cooled with flavours. My friend had beef cheese so tasty aswell with beaitiful taste of meat. And beside the customers service and cleaness are great.
