Beachport Salt Lake
A lake not for swimming. I came at 5pm and its quite windy. If there is no wind with still lake water, you can see the sunset reflection from lake. Easy to drive here for a quick stop!

The Pool of Siloam is located 3k from Beachport town centre. Just follow the Bowman Scene Drive It is seven times saltier than the sea and it is alleged to possess therapeutic assets. The pools depth although close to the sea does not fluctuate with the tides as its depth relies on soaks in the area.The high salt content in the lake makes swimming very easy, as the water is extremely buoyant. The pool has a range of facilities for visitors including change rooms, cold water showers, toilets and a picnic area. The pool is free to attend. Council or someone should invest in this spot a little. This is a gorgeous lake which should be a top tier tourist location or regular relaxer for locals. Facilities are just not on par, but the water was great.

This place is amazing for a swim. You can’t sink, you just float. Your body relaxes in the water as all your muscle decompress. Amazing feeling

The journey is quite far but we are happy because our body aches / pains are reduced. The view to the location is really beautiful and satisfying. Plan to come back again. There are toilet facilities, a place to change clothes, a place to eat, a trash. Hopefully in the future there will also be clean water available for rinsing salt water.

Great spot for a soak in the water, not for recreational swimming as it's very salty and hurts your eyes but my kids still enjoyed it. Well worth the drive tho and very picturesque.
