Hopeless. I bought a Miele vacuum cleaner and had barely had it 12 months when the motor stopped. Brought it back because it was in warranty. Was told by the sales assistant who was rude and truculent it was because I had sucked up liquid which I hadn’t. Was sent for repair but the sales assistant wrote that the reported fault was ‘sucked up liquid’ which was a lie. Do not buy your appliances from here.

I had an incredible negative experience In the computer department section. I have been a long time customer of Harvey Norman but next time will be going to jbhifi or bing lee. Was served by this rude arrogant “man” named Naz in computer department. It was clear he lacked any integrity and was willing to rip off my old mother in order to sell her an expensive computer definitely above her needs. When bringing back this over priced $2,500 dollar laptop, this spineless man who probably likes to watch other men make love to his wife decided to say I can’t get a refund. Only after badgering for 20 minutes and threatening to get a lawyer involved did he budge.

I’ve had mixed experiences coming to this store. I found the person helping us decide which dishwasher to buy was just pushing a certain model without explain any drawbacks or suggesting any alternative brands. Ended up doing our own research and bought elsewhere. When looking at flooring on a weekday with barely anyone in the store no one was interested in greeting or helping us

We purchased a large amount (in sqm) of carpet from this store.The carpet itself is quite nice. It was sold as a stain resistant product of high quality and with two cats, they were egger to test this. Everything cleaned up super easy. Very happy. It also looks and feels very premium, we didn’t see anything else like it in our search. Very happy in this respect.The installation process was initially done poorly in several places. This required extensive correspondence with the store to resolve, including an in person visit to the store to discuss as communication fell apart over SMS. The layer was quite unfriendly towards us once we raised the issues. The store sales person had to attend with the layer to ensure quality control was adhered to after several interactions, culminating in us visiting the store. The layer continued to behave in a fashion that left my wife feeling uncomfortable during the restoration of the works. A premium price was charged for there service.Whilst most installation issues were addressed, in places, you can still feel some kind of nail is under your feet as you walk. I was also unhappy to hear that paying for furniture moving does not seem to result in a clean installation. In my opinion they could improve quality and training of there installation team and for this reason alone, I would personally not buy flooring product from Harvey Norman again.Overall, I was left feeling quite disappointed with my experience with Harvey Norman.

Giving a one star as I cannot give zero. Their tech department is useless and has no idea on what good customer service is. Went in wanting to buy two iPhones on Saturday around midday and despite three guys standing at the tech desk no one wanted to help. After 20minutes waiting one of the guys is asked to help us by another man from another division. Walking over pretending as if he didn’t see us for the last 20 minutes he proceeds to say “yous just having a look” instead of “How can I help you today?”. He then quoted a price different to the website prices, after pointing out the difference he eventually agreed to give the website price. After another 10 minutes of him trying to find the product he proceeds to say they are out of stock and makes no effort to point us to another store with stock. Walked out and went to JBHifi in Macquarie where we were assisted promptly and experienced great customer service. Despite them not having stock in the colours we wanted they arranged a pick up at Top Ryde.

They refused to issue an refund or let us exchange with another product because they said they have to see the problem. The manager tried the steam iron for a few seconds and tried steam iron to the air, and told me that he didn’t see yellowy stuff coming from the bottom. We bought at another store and the online customer service staff told me that I could return to any store!

I went in to buy a phone and they told me they don't have it in stock but they can order it in. I can do that, and get the phone cheaper online! The reason I went to Harvey Norman is because I was willing to pay more to get the phone that day. What is the point of retail if they don't have the product in stock? Do I left and ordered the phone online. Got it in a couple of days and cheaper.

Writing this review to commend the exceptional customer service from Steven at Gordon when we purchased our television. He answered all our questions patiently and politely, giving advice and tips for installation, working out the best price and ensuring everything was ready for us to take away himself. Steven even brought the TV down to the car and helped us load it in. Could not be happier with the sales service and thanks for your help Steven!
