Comfort Hotel East Melbourne

The staff were very nice… especially after they handed us the wrong room key to begin with… so off to a rocky start. For the price ($380) my brother and I were shocked to discover only one bed after advertisement photo clearly stated and displayed two king beds, there was a power point hanging out from the wall, the carpet was wet, there was a lot incense stick sticking out of the wall, no rubbish bin so we had to take out rubbish with us, the remote control had no batteries and had been melted by battery acid, it was noisy all night, and the view was blocked by parked car and a tall gate. Not thrilled that I had to pay for such a dingy place.

They cancelled our booking a week before we were meant to arrive, claiming our room had been damaged, after calling and checking they had other rooms available but would not move us into another room. We are now forced to pay more than double for accommodation as prices for the weekend of our stay have increased.Seems like they wanted to make more money from what turns out to be a busy weekend. Do not trust

Without notice and having booked this hotel months in advance, I got a call from the hotel saying we have to move to another hotel or we had to cancel our room without any proper reason. They moved me to another hotel that was not even worth the price I paid and did not offer to give my money back to adjust to the correct price of their second hotel. The second hotel was disgusting and it was not worth it at all. Very disappointed and will not going through this one again

I was locked out of my apartment nearby was grateful as Comfort Hotel had one room left which could accommodate me .It was during a busy weekend of Elton John including other events so that was explained to me there was a price increase during this period .Room was clean -spacious with a lovely bathroom.Staff were delightful ,would recommend staying here if the room rate was lower I personally believe for the venue /facilities it’s overpriced ($300)but the location dictates revenue .Other than that it was ideal .The door was knocked on at 9:55am for me to vacate when I was just about to come out .
