Uniting AgeWell Kalkee Community, Nangatta

I have worked at Kalkee Nangatta for seven and a half years. It is the best place in Geelong to work. As I am also registered with the nursing agency and worked with almost all the facilities around Geelong as PCW. I personally found that Kalkee Nangatta is the best place to work. Because of their hard-working, dedicated, highly skilled and friendly staff. The best thing about Kalkee Nangatta is that management and staff respect cultural diversity. As I am basically from India and I never experienced any issue regarding my cultural background here. Another thing that I liked about Kalkee Nangatta is their Excellent teamwork skills.If you looking for accommodation for your loved ones, I will highly recommend Kalkee Nangatta to you.

Our families first personal experience of an aged care nursing home and we can honestly say; it was a very positive experience, of care; for both my mother and for us as her family. All staff are professional, empathetic, caring, fun and have their own personal stories as to why they do the job they do;with such a delightful attitude. All residents are treated with respect and care at all times. Sadly mum passed away after 10 months at Nangatta. The palliative care was compassionate and nurturing for us all. We now consider many nurses, carers, residents and their families of Nangatta, as our friends. Thank you all xx

I don’t know what planet Kylie W is on. I think she is confused with somewhere else. My mother has been in this nursing home for 4 years and loves it. It is homely, caring and the staff are extremely helpful and professional at all times. I am grateful for everyone here and the care and compassion is top class. I am very happy that my elderly Mum is cared for so well in her latter years. Well done all.

I wouldn't let my dog stay here, let alone a human. Soulless staff, sub standard care. All about covering their arses rather than caring for the elderly. This place is one of the reasons people are so skeptical about nursing homes.

Great nursing home, definitely the best in Geelong, every single staff member are very friendly and helpful, always keep you updated on your loved one

This review has been written because I am grateful for the care provided to my father during his 10 week stay at Kalkee Nangatta. Dad had dementia, and some behaviours of concern, and he had a number of health issues associated with his extreme old age. All the staff demonstrated their ability to meet his care needs - anticipating and adjusting his care plan and the ways that they interacted with him so that he was comfortably cared for. As I lived some distance from Nangatta, I was grateful for the timely updates when there were changes in his status. As he approached his end of life, the nursing staff proactively worked with me and my family to provide care in accordance with Dad's wishes. Medical oversight was arranged and Dad passed away comfortably. Our family were supported in our visiting of him too. The care provided exceeded my expectations. Thank you to all staff - the leadership and admin team, nursing and care staff, cooks and cleaners.
