Dined at Drumplings for a Saturday lunch three weeks out from Christmas, about half full.Service very poor. Waited couple of minutes to be seated, then 10ish minutes to be served (had to go to the bar before they remembered us) by an uninterested, unsmiling waitress. Drinks then took 5+ minutes to arrive, one tap beer and 1 bottle of cider. Food arrived in a decent time period.The food was hit and very miss. The pizza and cheeseburger dumplings were great, real winners. BBQ pork buns was average. The Papaya salad was the worst version we have ever had. No kick to it, soggy texture, bland and we had asked for extra spice.

Delicious and different! Dumpling flavours are unique, our faves were the black truffle and pepperoni pizza. Great for sharing (or not) and combined with a tasty fresh cocktail plus the funky atmosphere made for a great dining experience. The lemon meringue are worth a try, even if you don't like the idea of sweet dumplings it's worth it. Will definitely visit again when next in Melbourne!

Great presentation and friendly staff. But the dumplings came out luke-warm rather than piping hot as they should, and the dough's texture seemed reheated rather than fresh. Although the dumplings were tasty enough, some of us felt a bit rough around the edges later on in the day and the next morning. Not worth $50pp for the privilege.

I came here with a prominent Melbourne influencer who was invited by the owner to sample their latest menu. I have been here a couple of times previously as a paying customer.They are dumplings - but not in the way you have previously experienced them. There is a traditional dumpling / yum cha style menu but why go to drumplings where it's all about fun dumplings if you're going to have basic steamed prawn dumplings! Go to Chinatown if you want to go traditional.What drumplings does best is the fun flavour fusion dumplings, east vs west. Dumpling fillings that I've never even thought about feature at drumplings such as cheeseburger, beef rendang, mac and cheese, pepperoni pizza. Is it gimmicky? Perhaps. Is it tasty? Hells yeh.Cocktails were delicious, and I was pleasantly surprised with the sweet options available. The lemon curd filled dumplings were a standout. Service was great, and the venue itself is vibrant in colour, fitted out very nicely with a mix of communal and small tables.A bit on the pricey end of a usual dumpling menu, but the place is a lot of fun - it's a great hip venue and you'll have fun with your friends if you choose to come here.

The specialty dumplings are unique and have good flavour. The decor and atmosphere is modern and chill. However we were disappointed with the slow service, with parts of our order never brought to our table until re-asked. Unfortunately all of the dumplings were overcooked which meant everything fell apart. Would love to try them when they're cooked properly though, there's lots of potential.

This might be my new favourite place! Dumplings were so tasty, the cheeseburger ones were good but I loved the laksa ones and its finely with saving room for the lemon meringue ones. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Nice selection of drinks and cocktails. Music was great as well! It's wheelchair accessible but no wheelchair accessible toilet.

We ordered all the special flavour drumplings, our favs were the cheese burger, pepperoni pizza and the nutella dumpling. The traditional dumplings were pretty average. Would recommend going to a dumpling restaurant for the traditional ones. Overall a great experience and worth a try.

Uniquely flavored dumplings that will certainly raise your eyebrows — in a good way. I got the Cheeseburger and Pepperoni Pizza dumplings. The flavors were spot on. It felt weird eating a cheeseburger in dumpling form but you’d swear you’d be eating one. I’d recommend giving the drinks a whirl too. Certainly one of Melbourne’s unique eateries

A great place with different flavours. The cheeseburger dumplings are as described and rather strange but definitely enjoyable. The truffle dumplings are delicious. Service is friendly and they have blankets for sitting outside. Cocktail options are also unusual. It's not cheap but worth it for the experience. I want to go back to try more weird flavours.
