What an amazing place to spend a day! Apart from the amazing art on display, the gallery is surrounded by nice parks and great streets to roam around. Nearby, there's also a small building (it's easy to miss). It says that the building was the first telephone exchange in the southern hemisphere! That's something!Great place for everyone. Doesn't matter if you are an art lover or not! If you're taking the train, it's just a five minute walk from the station.

When you visit Geelong Gallery, remember not to drink water beforehand, or if you have the means, purchase a $20 exhibition ticket to access their restroom facilities. It's embarrassing as a tourist to feel inconvenienced in Geelong.

A stylish experience in a refined environment appreciating art and the finer things in life. We enjoyed the Clarice Beckett Exhibition currently hosted by the Geelong Gallery with friends from Melbourne and enjoyed a fine day in Geelong. A must when visiting this part of the world as it never disappoints.

A beautiful gallery with a Eclectic mix of art. Mandy Martin Exhib. Very interesting and different. Permanent collection excellent with the odd McCubbin. Arthur Dtreetons painting of Lorne a favourite. Ceramics downstairs gorgeous. A great spot to be can do it all in 1hr if you have limited time.

Beautiful buildings in that area. Went and saw the Clariss Beckett exhibition. Unfortunate that such a talented artist was ignored while she was alive because she was a woman. However that was how it was. Well worth a visit.

I loved this art gallery. Everything was so beautifully created and had many deep meanings behind them. The smell was amazing, I felt like I was in the middle of the ocean breezes. Stunning lights matched perfectly with the whole scenery. I recommend art students to visit if they want inspirations of hope and creativity.

Some areas are free entry and some others are for ticket holders only. Beautiful and historical artworks. Staff were very nice, too.
