The Rex - Barossa Aquatic Fitness

Great facilities. Clean and tidy. Range of equipment.

The Rex is great for the Barossa. I often rent a basketball court and get great exercise out of it. It's not too busy during the day and my niece and nephew have weekly swimming lessons. There is a small cafe that offers coffee and snacks. I can't wait to get better at shooting hoops all thanks to the great facilities offered at the Rex!

It's a nice facility to have, when it's available. They are always closing off sections of the pool for school use and private lessons. Sundays is the only chance for a quiet swim and sometimes not even then. That sucks.

I took my Grandson for therapy at the pool.. Perfect

We have started swimming classes for my four year old and he loves them. The instructor is lovely and does a variety of activities with them. They have a great shallow pool for families with young children. They have some shower rooms, so no need to worry about my toddler escaping. If only they put the taps up higher he always tries to turn the shower again ugh.

amazing pool and other facilities great for the young ones, love the canteen although a tad pricey. would recommend for any other ressie.... love playing submarines in the little kid pool

A very nice place to go for a swim with the kids as the pools are heated.They have a gym and a creche for the kids.The food is basic and could be healthier.Car parking is adequate.The bathrooms and toilet facilities are keep clean and are easy to use.The staff seem nice and helpful, and the swimming lessons for children are conducted well.Can get quite busy and loud but that is to be expected.

First time visit today. Very impressed! Staff very friendly. Main pool was a bit chilly but after a few laps wasn't too bad. Lovely patrons as well, very welcoming. Is a bit of a hike from where I live but worth it! Very clean!

Was a nice enough place, clean and staff were mostly friendly.I found it a little irritating how many times I was told upon arrival that “I had to get in the water with my children” (3yo and 9m), when I had already asked to pay for my two children and myself to go in the children’s pool and all 3 of us were clearly dressed in swim suits. Must have been told at least 5 times, the first three times I responded and the last few times I ignored it- my intention was always to go in with my children, hence asking to PAY for all three of us?! Either they’ve had really poor experiences with parents leaving their children unattended or just assume parents are stupid? Of course I was getting in the water!The receptionist was helpful in letting us know where to go/how to access change rooms.We have taught my 3yo not to wee in the pool, so he asks to get out. We found plenty of changing spaces but struggled to locate a toilet in a hurry- we did make it in time, thankfully. Although he tells us he needs the toilet, being 3 we have about a minute to get out of the pool, locate said toilet and then complete the toilet run- more toilets would be great!Overall, will probably go again for a dip, but think assumptions shouldn’t be made about what parent(s) will/won’t do- correct the behaviours if necessary, don’t assume to know what parents behaviours will be.Extra star for Ella who made our post-splash coffee and hot chocolate- she even happily heated up my 9m old’s bottle that had gotten too cool in the insulated bag and made a hot chocolate for my son that was lovely and warm not BURNING hot. Ella was extremely kind to my 3 year old too when he was ordering and took the time to speak to him like a human being. Great job Ella!
