Mentone

We agree with other positives mentioned in reviews, but we’d like to add that yesterday we found ourselves stranded in the rain at MENTONE station. The station attendant, Matthew, immediately offered us the use of a “Lost and Found” umbrella to get us home, asking that we simply return it when it’s no longer raining. How incredibly thoughtful and kind - an amazing offer out of the blue! We live close to the station and use the train regularly and appreciatively. However, this kindness of Matthew’s lifted our opinion even higher. Thank you and we hope that there are more simple kindnesses, as this one, in day to day life. (Oh, and we returned the umbrella the following morning...)

Poor signage to new station, put in google “Mentone station” and was not in the correct place to catch a train. Fix the google map entry.

Great suburb.

Lacks enough carparking.

This station needs to be modernized and the level crossing nearby removed.

Two bikes stolen from here, PSO didn't report to Police and it's two minutes quicker to the city than it was in 1968 according to my grandparents. Inner areas often smell of urine. The gardens are nice.Two tracks running out to the burbs in a city of 5 million, this place is an utter backwater compared to Asia.

Sooooo poorly signed. You end up walking over a very pretty set up of the old station. However if you want to actually catch a train you need to walk a further 200m. A reasonable person would expect some signage but there is nothing!!!!

There's some nice heritage to the station and I believe all trains stop here (all express to city are available = faster trips). The garden is well maintained as well thanks to community.
