The landlord insurance policy from Honan is not transparent and is not worth for money,.. One claim officer asked me to send paper for the claim after I explained to him that I had to change the vanity, paid for cleaning service to clean the mess in the bathroom due to water leakage. At first, they will tell you that the water and plumbing is not part of landlord insurance, and when I asked on vanity changes, he said yes you could claim it back. However, after I sent all claim and supporting papers for , another claim officer said that I can not claim these costs as they are not fall under landlord insurance policy; it would be cover by building insurance policy. So, I asked her what includes in landlord insurance ? they said its a lot and we can not list all out.. My comments are:- all claim officers responses are not consistent.. which meant they did not understand the policy well- its not good service as I had to make at least 3 calls, prepared all paper works and then it turned out I could not claim the money back- the written policy is not transparent to consumer..Overall, its suggested not to use Honan group, especially landlord policy as you will be disappointed with their services and the policy itself

Honan are a nightmare group to deal with from management, assessors to the incompetent trades they engage and deal with.This group will play mind games and place blame on their customers.They are nothing but an unorganised mess.Plenty of competent Insurance groups and brokers do your homework .!

I have just gone through a claim with Honan (landlord and residential) and the personal care was outstanding, not by one but two of their representatives - Alexandrea Lim and Clarrisa Reyden.There is never joy going through these matters but they are compassionate, fair and understanding. That's what you need during difficult times, I don't understand the legal jargon of policies but I know they are not your typical stereotype insurance organisation.Why I would recommend them:1. Human like you and me - you actually speak to people who are able to understand your situation2. Assessments are done by experienced people who are able look at facts/ evidence but also know know when/what they can be flexible on3. The insurance premium is reasonably priced - this is important to all!!4. Although you can make a claim online, never once was referred to our policies/protocols"."

Honan customer service is appalling, unprofessional and misleading. We have had an ongoing claim with landlord insurance for 6 months. We need to ring to constantly receive updates and constantly met with we are waiting. You don’t realise the things they do not cover, until you make a claim. Years of paying insurance and when you need to make one claim, the turn around time and grieve is really not worth it.

Worst brokers in the country. Unresponsive, incompetent and don't send renewal notices until AFTER they are due. The last 6 months has been hell as a property manager dealing with this company. STAY AWAY.
