My mother booked an appointment here, was left waiting upon arrival only to be told to go to one of three other hairdressers in the street. Poor conduct to make the appointment the day before, not contact her prior to the appointment despite having her contact details. We only do short cuts" that's exactly what she wanted... A short cut

Awful experience. Not recommending to anyone. You should explicitly advertise somewhere that you DO NOT cut trans, non binary or AFAB people’s hair. What if someone who is not born a “man” wants an “man’s” haircut??? This is what I was after but after you gave me the once over with judgement and suggested I leave to attend a “women’s hairdresser”, I sure enough decided to leave. Additionally, your clients in the waiting chairs had to listen to you standing 1 metre away reprimand a lovely employee for making an incorrect booking. Very uncomfortable.

Derek is fantastic cutting my 5 year olds hair. He has special needs and has never had any issue with his cuts at Blackwood. We're moving next month so will miss coming here! Thanks again!

Wow. The best barbershop experience I've had in a long time. Byron was an absolute gentleman, checked in to make sure I was happy, really calm. Great service and I got exactly what I wanted. 5 stars all the way
